A Life of Ease

Posted - Jul• 10•14

Sometimes, we have a tendency to make our lives more difficult than they need to be.  We subconsciously take something that could be easy, and make it hard.  It is when we are in this “mode” that we almost feel we do not deserve a life of ease and joy.

You must understand that it is okay to slide by with a smooth day, while others may be struggling.  It is by your examples that you can help demonstrate to those around you how easy things can be.  Similar to showing others how a life with financial abundance can be achieved and is deserved by all – including you.

When we take a task, and somehow “sabotage” that task to make it difficult, is when we are feeling deep down that struggle is a necessity.  We would say that struggle may happen without you encouraging it, and for many, the concept of “struggle” is not a part of their reality.  We should change our mindset to one of “ease” and let the concept of struggle, pass us by.

Do you ever notice when you are having “one of those days” and other people around you seem relaxed and together?  They may even be working with you on the same project, yet they leave work on time and go enjoy an evening with their family.   Meanwhile, you stay late, miss dinner, and go to bed in the early morning hours.  The next day, you are exhausted, while your co-worker is energetic, put together, and ready for another day.

Somehow, your co-worker was able to complete their work in much less time.  How can that be?  The concept is simple – they simply do the work that is necessary, and work with intention.  They can focus their attention like a laser beam that can cut through the thickest steel.  Is it possible that your attention is scattered, much like an old flash light that barely lights the way?

Figure out your next step, and work on that step.  Allow yourself to modify each step of the way.  If now does not seem like a good time to work a particular task, it might make more sense to do something else, that might be more timely.  For example, if you need help with a task, but the appropriate person is not available, it might make sense to wait.  However, if you insist on completing the task without that necessary person, you might find that it takes you much longer.   That unnecessarily wastes time that you could spend elsewhere.

When you feel your body becoming tired as the hour grows late, it might make much more sense to get the necessary rest, so you can do the work in much less time the next day when you are fresh.  It’s okay to stop, and say I’ve done enough for this day.  Now, I will rest so that I can do the work necessary tomorrow.

Life is about pacing yourself, much like a marathon runner.  If you have a “spurt” where you are working at a high rate, you must allow for some time after that to rest.  No marathon runner can sprint continuously.  Let your life be at ease.
