Aging Eras

Posted - Feb• 17•15

Sometimes it’s easy for us to look at what has been “lost” rather than what we have.  As we grow older, we think about the “glory days” of when our bodies were young and resilient.  We think about what we once had.  When we age, we cannot help but let go of the physique we once had, and open up to a new era.

That era of aging can be an exciting time.  Yes, the body may slowly quit doing things it once did, but we can accept and embrace everything rather than hanging onto what once was.   When we accept ourselves for what we are, and we understand that we are not our bodies, we can observe the changes.  We can let go of the need to be attached to our body, so that we do not associate our “self-worth” to it.

Yes, we want to do whatever we can to stay healthy and fit.   We want to take care of our “home” so that we have a place to live.  However, at some point things will change.  It is then that we need to let go of our identities with our body and open up to the non-physical self.

When we see our inner-self and understand that is who we are, we can let go of the vanity that we may have once had for our body.  We can open up to a new era of growth.  We can begin to truly see past the bodies of others, and open up to their inner spirits.  Life may be coming to a close in one chapter, but other chapters of life are opening up.  It is up to us to see those new chapters and embrace them.

When we are young, our lives may seem easier to those that are now elderly.  However, if one must admit, being young has its own set of challenges.  For those that are still enjoying the young, vibrant, energetic physical self, we say to begin the “awakening process” of your non-physical self.  The sooner you can do that, the easier the aging process will be for you.  Your life will also flow much easier with the universal flow of energy.

When we age, we wonder why we cannot do the things we once could do.  When we’re young, we sometimes do not appreciate what we have – physically.  When you being to appreciate and show gratitude for where you are right now, is when you have awakened your inner-self.
