“How can you be so good at so many things?”
“Whenever I do something, I commit and give it my all.”
Ω
Are you giving life your all? Are you making conscious commitments and seeing them through? When you do commit to something are you “all in?”
Many times we do things partially. Most people are very good “starters” but not so good as “finishers.” When we commit to something it’s important that we give it our best and see it through to the end. That includes your work, your family, your schooling, and yourself.
How are you going to spend this day? Make some conscious decisions on where you are going to focus your efforts. If you are at work with a laundry list of tasks to perform, pick the one that needs to be done today and focus all of your attention on that task. If you are at home, and you look around the house in frustration because of the looming tasks ahead of you. Do the same – pick the one that needs to be done today or will make you feel the best if it were completed and focus on it.
This world of “multi-tasking” is only an excuse for allowing us to be distracted. The truth is, those who get the most done in a day are the ones that have learned to focus and shield themselves from the distractions attempting to detract you from your work.
When we figure out how to focus our attention we can have success in everything that we do. That includes relationships, careers, personal growth and whatever else we do. The key is to provide enough focus on an intentional task to allow us to be committed to that task and to give it everything that we have.
If you are washing a pan in the kitchen, cutting the grass, or working on a multi-million dollar proposal – you should focus your attention and give it your best! If we have no intention of giving it our best, we need to find a way to be committed to it. If we cannot find a way to “commit” we may need to make a bigger change.

Commit to this lifetime by making an agreement with yourself telling yourself that whatever you do, you will give it your best. The other side of the agreement is to commit only to things that you know you will be able to give of yourself!
