Balance Creates Flow

Posted - Jun• 02•15

“Life is about having balance.  When things are in balance, you are able to go the distance.  When things get out of balance it is difficult to maintain a happy life style.”

Think about a time when it seemed like you were over-exerting yourself in a particular area, while other areas in your life were lacking.  Maybe you just began a new career and you placed almost all of your energy in your work, while your relationships and personal life suffered.  Or, maybe you were starting a family and you were consumed by your personal life which came at the expense of your job.

Yes, there are times when things can and will be “out of balance.”  However, it is important to at least recognize those periods and to be open to a change.  When we have balance in our lives, we are able to work hard, and play hard.  We are able to enjoy a nice standard of living, while having loving relationships.  When we are in balance, we are in flow.

Balance in your life goes beyond the obvious of work and family.  Having balance begins deep inside your core.  When we are able to balance our emotions such that we have an awareness of our emotional state, we can live in a peaceful manner.  When we understand the power of our thoughts, we begin to avoid negativity and support unity and love.

The one area of your life where imbalance is important is when we focus our lives on love and joy, to overcome the negativity present in bitterness and anger.  As we balance our physical lives, we will create an imbalance in our emotional and mental states.  We will spend more time in a positive, loving state of mind.  Eventually, the periods of negativity become shorter and fewer and farther between.

Creating balance in your physical life, helps promote happiness and joy in your emotional life.  Take the time to evaluate the balance in your life and make conscious steps to bring things into the “flow.”
