Be Your Genuine Self

Posted - Sep• 30•14

What does it mean to be genuine?  When you are being “genuine” you are exuding your truth.  You are not “acting” but rather are living from a place of “spirit.”  A genuine person has the confidence to let the world see their “core” while acknowledging the “core” of others.  A genuine person makes no attempt to control or to change another person, but only encourages others to reveal their inner, genuineness as well.

There are many times, possibly each day that we hide our “core” from others.  We may feel a bit insecure in revealing our inner makeup, or we may feel that others may not accept us if we show them our core.  However, you may find that when you exude your “genuineness ” to others, they may be encouraged to shed their masks and show their core as well.

It takes courage to show someone who inner self of who you are.  You might fear they will tease, or ridicule you.  It is much easier to adapt your outer “shell” to match the world so that you can “fit in.”   However, that is not living from your core, which is contradictory to your spirit.  When you are living out of sync with your spirit, you will find it difficult to live your passions.

When you are living from spirit, you are open to anything in the universe.  You will find that you can do and attract anything into your life, in a much easier way.  Being “genuine” allows for those things to happen, for the energy from spirit simply flows through your physical body.  That energy is freeing and powerful, by being in sync with the universal flow of energy.  The key to tapping into that energy, is to be your genuine self.

Have the courage and the confidence to remove the masks, costumes, and shells you may have placed around your body.  Have the courage and confidence to open up to the world, and let them see your truthful self.   No one can refuse the spirit of another, and being genuine is showing others your inner spirit.

When you go about this day, take notice of your actions.  Be an observer sitting on your shoulder watching for instances of “play acting.”   You may also watch for instances where you are being your “genuine self.”  Do not judge yourself, but watch.  At the end of the day, play back the “game film” and evaluate the reasons why you may have been “play acting” and ask yourself how to change those instances to being your “genuine self.”  Tomorrow, you get another opportunity to let go of the acting and be your core self.

Being a genuine person takes courage and confidence.  Have the courage to know that your inner core is the person the world really wants to see.  If someone does not resonate with your inner self, it is because they are denying their own inner self.  Show them how to leave behind the play acting and how to live from a place of truth!
