“Celebrate life.”
“What do you mean by that?”
“I mean we all need to appreciate and enjoy another day on this planet!”
Ω
Life seems to keep “ticking by” as we get older and older. However, there is little need to wish for things that once were. No, rather, we need to understand and appreciate this moment right now!
This is the only moment that you have in your grasp. The past is in the past and the future may not hold any more moments. This breath that you have in your lungs is the current moment. So, we ask, how do you care to spend it?
Do you care to spend this moment in a state of worry over an undetermined future, or to spend it in a state of guilt over the past? This is your moment to use how you wish. Yes, there is a tendency to think that we will have lots more moments, so we do not need to cherish it as though it is our last. That may very well be true, but if we always assume “there will be plenty more,” someday this lifetime will come to an abrupt end.
Preparing for the end of this lifetime is actually really simple. The best way to prepare is to enjoy it! That means we do not squander away any of our “life’s moments.” That means we appreciate and cherish all of the time that we have – all of the time! This includes encounters with others, as well as how we deal with ourselves. Life is a bucket of moments. We reach into the bucket and spend them one-at-a-time. However, we never know how many moments remain – we just know the bucket is getting lighter.
Today is a great day to slow yourself down and think about the moment that you are holding in your hand. Throughout the day, stop and observe yourself and ask if this is how you should spend your cherished moments? Yes, we understand you might be at work, and wishing you were somewhere else. However, there are things that we are committed to doing. The question is how are you handling it all?

Each person walks this planet for a short period of time in what we call a “life time.” Decide that you will make the most of this opportunity so that when you pull the last moment from your “bucket” you are ready to go back home again!
