What if we could only see the “good” and positive in others, our environment and ourselves? That would involve thinking only thoughts that are positive in nature. Think about how you could add a “filter” to all of your senses, to “filter out” the negative, making those things invisible to you.
The interesting thing is you can do just that. It all begins with a decision and a commitment that you make to yourself. When you decide and commit to, “seeing” only the positive in others, the world at large, and yourself – that is all that you will “see.” When you make a commitment to positivity, that is all that you will experience.
How does one make such a commitment? As we stated, the first step is taking the time to consciously make a decision that a positive life is what you desire and want. That means, you overcome the ego’s need to be right. That means you overcome the ego’s desire for feeling hurt. That means you overcome all of the things that you have been hanging onto for years and years. You first must let go of all of the needs that you have developed to hang onto the negativity in your life.
Take the time to truly make a commitment to let those things go. Much like a person who smokes, and makes the commitment to stop – you must make such a commitment. Then, when you catch yourself thinking negative, divided, thoughts you can quickly real yourself in, and let go of those thoughts.
The commitment to positivity begins when you make the decision to let go of the negativity in your life, allowing you to experience only positivity. However, you are in a human body, and will experience “relapses.” The “relapses” will eventually be less frequent of shorter lengths. Remember, though, the commitment that you make allows for those relapses, just so long as soon as you recognize the negative thoughts, you quickly let them go.

Your life does not need to have the complexity that many of us build. We can simplify our lives, by making a strong commitment to positivity. That commitment can carry us past fear, anger, bitterness and stress, without even so much as noticing those imaginary emotions.
