Create a Magical Day

Posted - Sep• 25•14

If you had an opportunity to create a “magical day” today, what would it look like?  You need to proceed with your day as planned.   That is, go to work, school, take care of the children, or whatever else you normally would do today.  Now, given that commitment, how can you make this day “magical?”

For some people, you might go to a restaurant during your lunch break, or you might do something special in the evening when you arrive back home.   For others, you might make your day “magical” while at work.  That might include, smiling all day long, having fun with your co-workers, and being generally happy.  What does a “magical day” look like today for you?

Do you feel it is within your power to make today “magical?”  Do you feel that you are “trapped” and have no power over this day?  Can you create the day that you would want, given the commitments and constraints that are already in place?   Can you have a “magical day” inside of you, while doing the work that you are committed to do?

Having fun may be part of making a day magical.  Having energy inside of you permeating outward, may also be a trait of making a day magical.  What else can you do today?   It all begins with a belief that you can make any “normal” day be “magical” to you.  What is magical to you, might not be to someone else, and what they consider to be “magical” may not resonate with you.  That is why you get to choose what this “magical day” looks like for you.

Maybe you take a ten minute break, go outside, sit under a tree, and read a book.  Maybe you take a few minutes every hour to do a “gratitude inventory” to keep you feeling “magical.”  Maybe you simply begin to love what you are doing, and feel the magic in your work.  After all, if you love what you do for the main part of the week, you have put yourself in a situation to create “magic” for the majority of your days.

If you find that how you spend your week days does not resonate with your passions, it may be time to plant some beacons and begin to find something that does resonate with your passions.  We should be able to find passion in our days, and when we do find that passion, we put ourselves in a position for creating a “magical day.”  The question remains, though, what does it mean to you to create a “magical day?”

Today is a “magical day.”  It is up to you to decide what that day would mean to you if you were able to script that day, given your current set of commitments.  Once you visualize in your mind, how a “magical day” looks to you, the hard part is over – for now, you just have to live that visualization!
