“That’s the last of it” the lady told her husband. “We’re all unpacked.”
“I’ll put the suitcases away until our next trip,” the man replied.
“It was a fun time, but it’s always good to be home.”
The woman pondered about the week-long vacation she and her family had taken. They were ready to now get back to the “real world” and catch up on all of the work that had piled up while they were gone.
“It’s too bad we have to go back to work.”
They both worked quietly put away their clothes knowing that all vacations must come to an end. At some level they knew that it was time to return to their “daily grind.” This time, though, the man was determined to make his work go just a little better.
“I’m not going to get caught up in all of the stresses that we spent a week alleviating. I’m going to try to stay in a state of relaxation all of the time.”
“That’s a good idea,” the woman replied, “I’m going to try to do the same.”

Life can be a daily “vacation” if you let it. No one says that where you are right now, cannot be a “vacation destination” for you. What would happen if you treated your daily routine as though you were on vacation where you refuse to let the stresses of the world impact you? Give it a try, and commit to a day without taking on stress. Pretend you are on a vacation where you have committed to not let anything bother you.
When we look at our “reality” we are creating an image of the world and people around us in our mind. That image is completely in our control. If we see hatred in our mind, that is what we will see in our “reality.” However, if we see love, peace, and calm in our mind, that will become our “reality.” We will begin to live in a loving, peaceful, calm way, much how we might behave while on a vacation to a far-away beach resort.
Take a few deep breaths, and slowly release the air from your lungs. With each breath in make the commitment to bring relaxation and calm into your life, and with each exhale let go of the stressful emotions from your body. Do this throughout the day when you feel the anxieties and stresses beginning to develop.

Life can be one continuous “vacation” if we so choose. That does not mean you can live without working, but it does mean that you can work with relaxation and calm. Commit to a calming work environment and make it so, for you can create anything that you can envision.
