Diverging Paths

Posted - Apr• 06•15

Often times on this life’s journey, you may find that your path deviates from some of those with whom you have walked the path together.  That is, it is sometimes time for you to walk the path alone or with others that have entered your life.   This is natural, and someday you may again walk the path together, but there are times when the path needs to be walked alone or with a new “guide” in your life.

When we start to feel the paths that we have walked in this lifetime begin to diverge from the paths of others, that is okay.  It may be time to do this part of your journey alone.  It may be time to find yourself or to begin to gain a better understanding of who you are.  When we lean on someone for all of the decisions that we could and possibly should be making for ourselves, we begin to lose our own identity.  The identity that contains our self-esteem, confidence and inner-knowing.

Sometimes the paths seem to be diverging, but are weaving in and out where they continually come together and drift apart, at small intervals.  Whatever the case may be, it is better to accept and allow each other to do the things that need to be done – even if that does not include you!  We are all attempting to traverse the sometimes complex paths of this lifetime, and need to be willing to “go it alone” when called upon to do so.  Life is an adventure, and a continually learning experience.  Let the paths open up to bring you to a state of growth so that you may move forward to higher and higher levels of engagement in your life.

When we see the “ebbs and flows” of relationships, and growth patterns in our lives, we can begin to accept them.  Understanding the details and the causes of these changes, can be ego-based.  Sometimes, it’s best to just “be!”
