Embrace Change

Posted - Jun• 17•15

Life goes by quickly, enjoy it while you can!

Yes, this lifetime in the big scheme of things, is rather short.  Sometimes, when you are in the day-to-day pressures you may feel like this lifetime will last forever.  However, as we all know, that is not true.

The thing that we most often forget when we are dealing with the pressures of the day-to-day life, is that we will not ever have this current moment again.  We tend to think that we will experience “better” things in the future.  It is only human nature to think that we will live for a long, long time.

We may live a full life to an old age, however, everything around us continues to change.  The children grow up, leave the nest and start families of their own.  The elders leave to return home.  The world around us changes.  We can either embrace that change or be “left behind,”  for the change will happen independent of whether we want it to or not.

When we allow and accept the changes in our lives without trying to hang on to the way things once were, we are adapting.   When we adapt and adjust with the changes around us, we are able to find joy in everything and anything.  We understand and expect the changes in the world, our bodies, our families, and our mindset.  We embrace those changes and acknowledge the “good-ol-days” while we create new “good-ol-days” right now.

There is no need to wait any longer.  Waiting for something good to happen, will never happen, for the good is happening all around you that you are not seeing.  Open your eyes and enjoy this moment, for someday you might look back on this day wishing that things were once like they are right now!

Embrace the changes of life and the world around you, for as the saying goes,  “the only thing constant is change!”
