“Should we change lines?”
“No, I don’t think so.”
“It looks like the other one is faster.”
“That may be, but I’m content here.”

Do you ever have a day when it seems that someone is trying to slow you down? Maybe you hit all red lights on your drive to work. Or, you find people always in front of you, at the grocery store, or wherever it is you are walking.
Yes, that might be your guides’ way of “slowing you down.” Notice what happens when the light changes before you get to it. Do you get irritated and annoyed, or do you remain in a state of peace and calm? What happens when you see a line that you must traverse before you can do whatever it is you need to do?
Look around, and ask yourself if this is a sign that you need to slow down. Maybe it’s time to embrace the line. Maybe it’s time to embrace the red light. Maybe it’s time for you to reflect on what it is you are in such a hurry for, anyway.
Yes, no one typically likes to spend their day standing in a line. Yes, there are usually better, more satisfying things to do. However, how you behave in that line, is within your control. How you spend the time in that line, is in your control. Open up to the notion that the line is exactly where it needs to be for you at this moment in your life. Accept and embrace it, rather than getting annoyed.

When things do not seem to be “in flow” it may be the universe’s way of telling you that it’s time to slow down. Take a deep breath, put on a smile, and enjoy the wait, for you never know what’s coming next!
