When we are in a total state of enlightenment, we exhume light and energy wherever we go. It’s as though people and creatures “come alive” when a person in this state is present. The enlightened person provides energy to everyone and everything around them.
When we walk into a room, we might take notice if we see an increase in energy or a decrease in energy. That is a way for us to get some feedback on where we are in our growth. Although truly, total enlightened people are very rare, it is something that can be achieved. In order to begin the journey to this state, we must understand that it all begins with a choice.
The choice is whether or not you are willing to give up the desire to fulfill the needs of your ego. That means you understand the ego, and can learn to live with it, without “feeding it.” When we understand how our ego can affect our thoughts, which in turn affects our behavior, we can learn to change those thoughts quickly.
A truly enlightened person has achieved the capability to never think the thoughts of the ego in the first place. However, we must understand that the ego is a part of who we are, and not a “bad” thing. When we want to energize ourselves with positively charged energy, the ego must be tamed. The ego is very good, however, at charging yourself with negative energy. However, that negative energy is usually one that deprives, rather than enhances the energy of those around you.
One of our objectives in our journey of growth is to “bring up” those around us. That begins with the people who are closest to us. It’s easy to be kind to a stranger standing next to you at the super market. However, the real challenge is being nice to your mate when he leaves his shoes in the middle of the floor. Those are the simple challenges in your day that will give you a learning opportunity to “tame” your ego!
