Explore the World

Posted - May• 28•15

There comes a time in most people’s lives when they are wanting to explore the world.  That time is a sort of “awakening” of the senses, and the self-esteem that is sometimes buried deep within.

The world is a vast place, yet small and connected.  When we decide it’s time to leave the safety of our “neighborhood” and explore the unknown, we are readying ourselves for the adventure of life.  Life throws many unknowns at you, in an attempt to help promote growth.  Exploring the world with one’s self is a way to build the self-esteem and character that is at your core.

The “exploration” may not involve the travelling of great distances, but can be done within your geographic region.  For some, though, they may find the yearning to travel great distances from their birth place so that they may force the need to explore the unknown.

For those that choose to stay in their familiar geographic region, you can explore the unknown as well.  Meeting new people is always a possibility – no matter where you are.  You can also open up to other beliefs, cultures, foods, events, and the like wherever you are.   The key is to always continue to “explore” the world around you.

When we promote exploration within ourselves, we open up beyond our beliefs.  We allow others with dissimilar beliefs to express their views, which we evaluate with an open mind.  We leave our “birth beliefs” behind while we form our own beliefs – always knowing that we give ourselves the permission to change them in the future.  Exploration of the spirit is like thrusting ourselves into a foreign country with no pre-conceived notions.

When we explore our spiritual self, we look at the core of our existence.  We evaluate each belief that we hold tightly, to loosen the grip if necessary for the allowance of other’s possibly contradictory beliefs.  We understand that no matter what we think, there are other beliefs and views equally justified.  We understand that everyone has their own truth, which includes their own beliefs.  We understand that the world has many cultures, which keeps things interesting.  We are open and accepting of anyone and everyone!

Open up your world, by going on a great trip to distant lands either physically, or spiritually.  Let go of the need to “know” and open up to the possibility of experiencing and learning.  The world can be explored from your home or by travelling great distances.  To get to know your spiritual-self, though, exploration of the world opens many new doors!
