Finding Laughter

Posted - May• 19•15

Sometimes, we just need a hug.  We don’t need anyone to attempt to “fix it” we just need someone who will listen.  Sometimes, we might need to cry, so that we can find our laugh again.

The road to laughter is sometimes riddled with tears.  The journey of a lifetime has many twists and turns.  Just remember, that it is all perfect right the way it is.  What may not seem “perfect” may someday be revealed to you when you see the higher level “plan.”  We all have work to do in this lifetime – and your work, may differ from the work that you feel you should be doing.  However, the sooner we learn the “lessons” the quicker we can move on to the next “exercise.”

It’s okay to have a day or two when you are feeling a let down.  It’s okay to give yourself permission to grieve.  Eventually, though, you need to look up and move towards the light.  You need to look up and find the rope that is thrown to you for you to pull yourself up!  There is always a “life-line” you just need to open your eyes and your mind to find it.

When in doubt – communicate.  It’s the silence that causes the mind to race with its own answers.  When two people become silent, the ego takes over.  When we care enough about someone, we communicate.  Communication is the secret to laughter.  Let go of the ego’s desire to “fill in the blanks” and take the steps necessary to do the things that you know need to be done.

When the trees lose their leaves, they do not weep over the loss.  Rather, they  silently wait until new growth returns.  That growth is taking place but sometimes may not be at the speed that we desire.  Be the tree, that knows everything is perfect the way it is.

When you feel a bit down, look for the life-line that is near you.  Take the steps you know you need to take to bring yourself back towards the light.  Temporary darkness is okay, so long as it’s temporary!
