Finding Your Essence

Posted - Dec• 11•13

Before the beginning of the physical world you call Earth, the non-physical plane existed to consolidate the knowledge and energy of all.  When the physical plane of Earth was created and mankind began to grow and populate the Earth the non-physical plane shifted to provide some of the energy in the physical world.

When you pass from one plane to the next you take some of that energy, but not all of it with you.  That is, when you are born into the physical world you bring with you a portion of the energy that is your essence.  When you die, you take that bit of energy back with you to the non-physical plane until you decide to do it all over again in another lifetime.

The point  we are trying to make is for you to understand that who you are has nothing or very little to do with the human shell that you call your body.   Who you are existed long before you entered the physical plane.  If you want to get to know yourself, or to get to know another, you need to look past that “shell” and look at their essence.  Their essence of the energy that they bring with them into the physical world, as well as connecting with them at a much deeper level in the non-physical plane.

Who you are is what you cannot see.  Who you are is what you can feel deep inside of you, almost bursting with the energy to be freed.  Remember when you may have been in school and you had the answer to the question asked by the teacher?  You raised your hand along with the many other children in the class, almost bouncing out of your seat with excitement that the teacher might call on you.  It is much the same with your inner energy – it is like the student filled with excitement hoping that it will be called upon to answer your questions.

However, most of us look to the physical world for answers to our many questions, and your inner self waits and waits to be called upon.

Q: How do we make contact with our inner self, or that inner energy in order to activate it to be active in our life?

There are many ways to activate that energy, and the library of knowledge for which you have access.  As we have mentioned in the past it all begins with quieting your mind and getting past the “chatter” of the world.  Stop right now, and take inventory of what you are thinking.   What thoughts are running through your mind?  Are you reading this sentence, or reading it on “auto-pilot” and not comprehending it?

If you have found in that brief exercise that you have other thoughts unrelated to this message bouncing around in your head you can understand what we mean by “chatter.”  So now, close your eyes and take a few deep breaths in and out through your nose.   Slowly breath in and out.  Think about the oxygen entering your lungs and how it is distributed throughout your body.   Let go of your breath and slowly release the carbon dioxide out of your body.  Do that a few times and then come back to this writing.

If you did the exercise did you get a feel for how thinking about your breath and how it enters and exits your body is a way for you to clear your mind?   It’s about concentrating fully on something that is going on in your life.

So in answer to your question, if you would like to tap into the energy of the non-physical plane and of the essence of who you are, it begins by quieting your mind.  The breathing exercise we provided can be done for a few seconds or for an hour or longer.  It is the beginning of something that many refer to as meditation.  There are many ways to quiet the mind – one of which is meditation.

For some, a long run or bike ride may do the same.  Sometimes painting a picture, or writing in a journal may quiet the mind.  Fishing, dancing, singing, swimming – the list goes on.   Find what works for you and let go of the need to pay attention to the chatter that constantly bombards you.

When you find yourself mulling over a conversation with say an unhappy customer, or a critical boss or mate, try to focus on the positive conversations that you had in your life.   What you want in your life is what you should spend the thoughts of your lifetime thinking about.  For what you think about, you focus on, and what you focus your energy on, is what you attract into your life.  Do you want more unhappy customers?  If not, focus on the positive customers in your life.

Energy is neither created or destroyed, and when we shift from one plane to the next we always bring that energy with us.  However, we are only accessing a very small percentage of that energy unless we get past ourselves to tap into the store of energy and knowledge available to all.
