It’s a perfectly thrown ball as the receiver sets up in the end-zone to make the catch.   As the ball approaches, the receiver readies his hands bringing them up towards his face.  He waits as the ball approaches in a perfect spiral darting toward him.  He raises his hands waiting for the feel of the ball to touch them.  Just then, a defender jumps in between he and the ball and makes the catch.

Sometimes in life, if we want something, we need to “go up” and get it.  When we wait for it to come to us, we sometimes find that it doesn’t get there.   We can wait for someone to approach us with a new job, or we can go out and find the job of our dreams.  We can wait for customers to come to our coffee shop, or we can advertise, and market to bring customers in.

Sometimes, we cannot wait for the universe to bring everything to us.  Sometimes, we need to go out and get it for ourselves.  The universe will not do anything for us that we can do for ourselves.  When things are tough, that is a good time to jump towards the “ball” and go get “it” before it’s taken away from us.

This may seem a little competitive, but competitiveness is not what we are talking about.  What we are talking about is reaching for whatever it is you would like in this lifetime.  If you are unhappy about your health, go out and exercise.  If you are unhappy about your body, go out and get fit.  Waiting for the “magic pill” or surgery to take care of all of that for you, may not be the way for you.

When you go through this day, look around for the areas where you are “in wait.”  Then decide whether or not you can do something about it, and go get “it” yourself.  When we look to ourselves for the answers and actions, we are activating the motivation within.  When we activate our internal motivation, anything is possible!

Waiting for good things to happen, may be justification for a bit of laziness.  Look to yourself, to activate the motivation necessary to bring and attract the events, people, and things that you would like in your life.  When you do that, not only will you see the unlimited potential, but you will also bring a sense of accomplishment to yourself!
