Gratitude Bits

Posted - Sep• 24•14

“We are just happy that she is alive.”

“Can she remember anything?”

“Yes, prior to the accident, but nothing since then.”

“We live moment to moment.”

When you feel that you are “tired of life,”  it might be a good opportunity for you to look for gratitude.  We have talked many times in the past about how there are lots and lots of people who would love to “be in your shoes.”  Yes, you may want to “be in someone else’s shoes,” but you should find reasons to be grateful for your own life.

When we go through life looking at others, and trying to compare ourselves to others, we often feel inadequate.  We think that life is like in the movies, where two people fall in love, have children, and live “happily ever after.”  After a while, this type of thinking will undoubtedly leave you feeling unfulfilled.

Whenever you look at a clock today and notice the time, we would like for you to think of a reason to be grateful for your current life.   It might be something as simple as, “I am grateful I have two eyes to see.”  Or, “I am grateful for my job, my house, and my family.”  It should not take more than a second or two to come up with a “grateful bit.”

Today, change your attitude if necessary.   Look for why you are “energized by your life” and let go of the “tiredness” tendency.   When we announce to those around us that we are tired, we are reinforcing the lack of energy present in our bodies.  What we need to do is, announce that we are “energizing ourselves,” and are grateful for our lives.

When we find gratitude in our lives, we create energy.  When we create energy in our bodies, we provide ourselves with the vitality necessary to create energetic days.  Create an energetic day for yourself and see how different the world reacts!
