Greatness Glasses

Posted - Dec• 30•15

Yesterday, we talked about “loving your life.”  When you can admit and you truly believe that you “love your life,”  you can lift the burdens that may have been weighting you down.

When you realize that you do in fact “love your life,” you are now free to enjoy it.  No longer, do you need to “put on” for those around you why your life is more miserable than theirs.  Yes, we know that most people do not consciously do that, but your ego may be persuading you to think such thoughts.

The “winner” of this lifetime is not the person who appears to have “it all.”  No, the winner of this lifetime is the person who knows they have a great life – no matter the circumstance.  That person, is you and you alone.

No one can tell you that your life is great, or your life is a challenge.  No one can get into your head without your permission.  This life is yours, and you need to look for the hidden greatness that might be buried deep within it.  What is so great and perfect about your life?  What is so great and perfect about your mate?   What is so great and perfect about your career?  The list goes on and on.

Rather than asking, “why is this happening to me?”  change the questions.  Change the questions to “how perfect is this?”   Change the questions to look for the positive in your life, rather than the negative.  No matter how bad things get, you can always find something that is positive and great.

Give yourself the permission to live as though you “love your life.”  Give yourself permission to be pretend if necessary, until you can truly see it and believe it.  Let yourself experience a life of greatness, simply by changing your thoughts to that of, “I have a great life.”

Today is a great day to only look for the greatness in your life.  Filter out all of the negativity and put on a pair of “greatness glasses” and allow only great things about your life to come through.  At first you may need to “pretend” that your life is great, since habits of negativity can be difficult to break.  After a while, though, you will realize there is no need to pretend, for the greatness of your life is everywhere.

Open up to the idea that your life is “great.”  Challenge yourself to only see the “greatness” of your life, and you might just see those around you finding their own greatness as well!
