Happy New Day

Posted - Dec• 10•15

“Happy New Day!”

“Don’t you mean ‘Happy New Years?’”

“No.  Every day is a new beginning.”

Look at today as the start of something new.  Similar to how we look at the upcoming new year – each day is a new beginning.

What is your “new beginning” going to be for today?   Yes, it may seem like the “same oh,” but it does not need to be that way.  Today can be the start of something new.  Maybe you decide that you will learn something new today.  Maybe you will do something different this evening when you are home with your family after a day of work and school.  Maybe you will bring a different perspective to your day today.  The choices are endless.

Let the possibility of the “impossible” help direct you today.  What would you do today if you felt that anything is possible?  Think about where you would put your energies and your focus.  Think about how it would make you feel to be working on something that you thought was not possible.  Think of the confidence it would bring to you and your day.

When we begin each day like we begin a “new year,” with a sense of excitement and openness to “new beginnings” we do not need to wait every 365 days to experience that joy and enthusiasm.  Let today be the start of this new attitude that all days are new beginnings.

When we wait to do things because it’s not the right season, or the right time in your life, or whatever excuse you have in your mind, we are giving into to our fear of the unknown.  Rather, start on whatever it is you’ve been waiting to do – today!  Today is the day and tomorrow will be another day to tweak and continue whatever you start today!

Life is too short to wait for things to seem “just right” before we pursue our dreams and passions.  Let today and everyday thereafter be the start of a new beginning.  Let today be a “happy new day!”
