The wind blows as the leaves hang on tightly to the trees. The sun is shining, but the clouds start to form in the distance. The animals start to scurry to their homes, for they know what is about to happen. Minutes later, the storm rolls in, nourishing the ground with fresh water. As quickly as it forms, it passes by as the winds come to a calm, and the animals once again go about their day.
The “storms” in your life can pass as fast as a thunderstorm in the springtime. The water that is dropped from the storm serves as the nourishment required for survival. The same is true of the so-called “storms” that occur in your life. They are somewhat necessary to help nourish yourself, allowing for you to move forward. The storms in a way, help to propel you forward getting past any “sticking points” that may have been blocking your path.
Life without a “storm,” much like nature without rain, can cause things to dry out and whither away. Storms may not seem like a “good thing” when they hit, but in the end they are necessary to sustain nature, and in your case to energize your life.
If you feel you are in the midst of a “storm” or see one building in the distance, you can “hunker down” until it passes. Make the necessary preparations, but do not attempt to stop it, for everything, including “storms” are in perfect order. The build up sometimes looks worse than what actually occurs. Know that you can and will survive, and make the necessary “rebuilds” when it passes.

Life continues onward, much like nature reappears after the worst of storms damage the lands. Know that your life is resilient and can grow stronger with each storm that passes by.

It is comforting to have a safe harbor when a storm comes and the ones close to you are indeed a safe harbor. For which I am grateful.
