Look Beyond the Details

Posted - Feb• 19•16

“Why is it that things never seem to bother you?”

“Because, long ago I gave up the need to feel hurt.”

When we are able to look beyond the details of our lives, we can begin to see the bigger picture.  The bigger picture includes this life as well as all other lives that we have lived and will live in the future.  It does not include the little details of this life, though.

When we continually look at the details, we get caught up in analysis.  We analyze every word and every sentence spoken by others, rather than looking at the overall intent of said words.  When we continually look at the details, we analyze and assess every “look,” smile, eye roll, and body language rather than going higher level into the overall picture.

The details are ego based, where as “overall intent” is coming from a place of love.  How many times do we try to express ourselves to have it misinterpreted?   How many times do we say something from a place of love, but have it thrown back to us as something else?

Today is a great day to observe how you interpret others.  Observe how you are listening and evaluating others.  Yes, we have lots of historical occurrences that influence our reality.  The key is to get beyond that.  Look at everything with a clean slate, or at least from a position of love.  Try to understand the deeper senses.  If you know a person loves you, then do not assume the worst.  Try to figure out the intent, rather than evaluating the content.

When we can get away from analysis, and look at intent, we are beginning to live in a place of love.  Find the intent without preconceived notions and give yourself and others a break from the details!

Good quote. “Try to figure out the intent rather than evaluating the content.”
