“Are you an insecure person?”
“No, why?”
“Well, most the time when people lash out like that, it’s because they themselves are insecure.”

There are many things that go through our minds. Often times, we do not fully understand our own behaviors, let alone the behaviors of others. However, if we realize that the appearance of “lashing out” possibly at you, may not be “about” you at all you can let it go. Usually, the behaviors of a person are a result of their core. What they have inside is what they let out. Even though it may seem to be directed at you, that is usually not the case. Typically, it is a release of their “core” in your direction, simply out of convenience.
When we realize that the behaviors and beliefs of others are just that, “their behaviors” and “their beliefs” we understand that we do not need to even consider or observe them. Your work in this lifetime might be to see those “arrows” around you, that you think are pointed at you, and let them pass you by. Your work will continue until you are able to realize that the arrows are always there for some people, but are only pointed in your direction because you “see” them.
When those “arrows” become invisible to you, will they cease to exist in your direction. Arrows will always be thrust by others who have anger and fear inside, but when you quit acknowledging them, you will fail to see them anymore! Let go of the need to acknowledge a “wrong” that someone has put forth your way, and realize that there is nothing “wrong” unless you make it so.
Does that mean, if someone is verbally abusive, you need to just stand there and “take it?” Absolutely not. However, you can simply dismiss yourself from the conversation and let the “arrows” thrust your way fall harmlessly to the ground. Without another person to participate, arguments cease to exist. Make it your mission to protect yourself, but to understand that it isn’t “personal” it’s just that maybe you were always an easy “target.”

Take back your power and your love by removing yourself from situations with “arrows” present. Let people know that you are to be treated with love and respect, without acknowledging and giving energy to the negativity they might project!
