Think about your life ten or twenty years from now. Now look back on this period of your life. Do you have any regrets? Are you happy with the things that you have done that may have an impact on your future self?
Look back five and ten years ago. Do you have any regrets? Do you like what you see? Did you take any risks? How was your life compared to today?
When we realize that someday we may look back on this period of our lives, we may begin to understand that we need to act now. If there is a “nagging” for you to go back to school, switch jobs, commit to a relationship, or the like, it may be worth your consideration. Life is short. Go ask an elderly person just how short it is, and they will tell you.
When we think that “there will always be enough time” to do something later, we are simply stating that it is not important to us. If that is not the case, and whatever you are putting off is in fact important to you, it is time to do something about it. Now, we understand there may be a fine line between “overindulgence” and “not enough indulgence.” Yes, that is a balance that you will have to determine for yourself.
When you look to your inner truth, through meditation or sitting quietly with yourself, you will find the answer for which you seek. We all have the answer to everything within us, and there is no need to look externally to someone else for those answers. Again, we are not talking about the answer to what our monthly payment will be on a new house. Yes, it makes sense to ask a professional in that area, or seek outside help to answer that question. What we are talking about is the answer to whether or not you should buy a house in the first place, or which house you should purchase.
Today, look for the things that you have been putting off. If it’s an activity or vacation with your family – we recommend you do that immediately. If it’s a way to improve your own self or your skills, you should plant a beacon and take the next step.

Life is short. We sometimes only realize that when we reach an age where we feel we may have missed the opportunity to do certain things, or we have lost a loved one. Do no wait for whatever it is you would like to do. Your future self will someday thank you!

I agree that life is short, and can change immediately, yes, you should take advantage of your health and ability to travel, etc. now when you can.
