Freedom of Reality

Keep the focus on what really matters in your life.  Do not let the outside world add angst to your mindset.  You know what’s important for you and it comes from within.

When we look within for our priorities in this lifetime, we are able to think and do for ourselves.  When we open our eyes and turn on the news we see what others want us to see.  When we open our eyes and look from a position of “within” we see our own truths.

What does it mean to “see your own truth?”   We are referring to the capability and the ability to see the world for yourself.  To align your inner-self and build your beliefs from within to build a reality of the world.  Everyone, has a different view of the world – and as such, has a different reality.  We all see the world differently – that’s what makes each of us so special.

The interesting thing is when we try to impress our views of the world on another.  That goes against the “freedom of reality,”  if you will.  We need to understand and accept other’s views as their own, so long as they are coming from a position of integrity.   When we realize that we all see everything that happens differently, we can begin to have some empathy and respect for others and their views.

No one person is “right” all of the time, yet when we are coming from within, we are all “right” all of the time.  The dichotomy of that statement means that everyone can be “right” all of the time, without anyone ever being wrong.  The fact of the matter is everyone that proceeds with integrity is doing the best that he or she can.  When we do our best with integrity, we can never go “wrong!”

Whatever path you take on this journey, should be decided from within.  Yes, it’s okay to ask for the good opinions of others, but you and everyone else needs to think and do for themselves.  It is the “herd” that stampedes over a cliff!  When you walk alone, you are not following someone’s else’s journey.

Find your inner-voice and let yourself hear it.  Most of the time there is no need to amplify that voice to those around you.  However, should the time come where you need to stand up, you will have the strength and the courage to do so!

Breaking the Limits

Sometimes it’s time to get past your limitations.  Sometimes, it’s time for you to set aside the self-imposed limits and go for it!  Maybe today is that day.

How many limits have you imposed on yourself?  You may not think much about it, but we all have a tendency to set sometimes unconscious limits on ourselves.

“What types of limits are we talking about? ” you might ask.  Think to yourself about the things that you do not even consider because you feel it would be too risky.  Maybe you do not even consider changing careers because you feel you are too far along in your current career and see the change as nearly impossible.  Maybe you are not willing to learn a new skill because all you can see is the years and years of practice, learning and lessons.

Yes, maybe some of those things are not that important to you, so you let them sit on the sidelines.  However, when so many of these “self-imposed limits” stack up, we begin to entrap ourselves in the mundane and ordinary.   Maybe today is the day that you break through one or more of these limits and start growing again!

As you go about this day, observe yourself looking for most likely unconscious limits that you have imposed on yourself.  Most of the time we do not even consider something, because we already unconsciously dismissed it.  Observe your actions and the decisions that you make today.  Ask yourself why you are doing things the way you are doing them, and not reinventing them to keep up with the current technologies and processes.  Ask yourself what you would do differently if you had unlimited time, money and talent.

At the end of the day, you should find a few areas where you may not even have been aware of the self-imposed limits you have set.  Now think about what you might do to overcome those limits.   It can be difficult to break through the “old mindset” that you have spent years and possibly decades developing.  However, in order to grow to the fullest potential within each of us, we need to keep up with an ever-changing world.  We need to allow ourselves, to be “ever-changing” as well.

InspiraCard

When we have the courage to make changes to the normal practice we have developed in our lives, we are allowing our creativity and our talents to shine.  Find the changes that you need to make in your life, and do them!  When we commit to ourselves, and we move forward with integrity and love there is no way we can fail!

Living a Balanced Life

Do you have balance in your life?  What does it mean to have balance?  When we are able to manage our career, our family life, and our personal life without letting any of them dominate our time – we have balance.

Think about what happens when something in your life dominates your time and your energy.  Let’s say you have a big project at work.  It requires you to work extra hours for days and weeks on end.  As a result, you are not able to attend some of your children’s events.  You might not be home in time for dinner.  You get up early in the morning and get home after the children are in bed.

Yes, that is okay in the short-term, but is out of balance if it proceeds for much length of time.  When we consciously decide that an aspect of our lives needs to dominate out time and energy, that is okay.  However, it is difficult to sustain any state of “out of balance” for a period of time.  Eventually, things must get back in “balance.”

Think of what happens when you are busy at work, and busy with your children, or family.  There is little time left for you!  In those cases, you might be covering two of the three “balance areas” we mentioned, but you are not able to take care of yourself.  Maybe you do not have the time to exercise, go to the gym, meditate, or just be by yourself to read a book.  Typically, most people tend to let their personal life slide in order to take care of their career and family.

The problem with letting our personal life “slide,” is that we eventually break down.  Either our body will start to fail us, because we haven’t been taking care of it, or our minds will be so full of thoughts we can hardly function with the stress.   Take the time to devote one-third of your time to work, one-third to family, and one-third to yourself.

You might say, there is no way I can devote one-third of my time to myself.  The kids are too young, or my job is too demanding.  That may be the case, but this sense of balance is one that you should strive to attain.  The reasons may not seem important to you, but eventually you will see what happens when you do not give yourself the time that you need to take care of yourself.

We are here to live this life for many reasons.  We might be here now to take care of the children, or a family member.  We also might be here to build something that can change the world!  However, we must not forget that we are also here for ourselves.  We need to allow ourselves to enjoy the life that we have spent so much time and energy building!

Find a way to have balance in your life.  Figure out the three areas that make sense for you.  For some it will be work, family and personal life.  For others it may be more or less areas.  However, everyone needs to include their “personal life” in their “balance pie chart.”  When we give ourselves the time and energy that we give to others, we can have the sense of well-being for which we strive!

InspiraCard

Having balance in your life is an important concept.  Living a balanced life allows for you to run the long marathon of life.  There are times to sprint, but those times cannot be sustained.  When we find balance, we are living a sustainable life!

Fitting In

Open up your heart, set aside your ego, and do what is right.  Do not let your stubbornness get in the way.

When we are willing to forge relationships we can see how the ego can interfere.  When we are willing to live in a society, we can see how the ego can interfere.  The ego is the piece of who you are that keeps you “in-line” with everyone else.

When we step outside of “the line” we are free to be ourselves.  When we are ourselves, we can encourage others, by our actions to also be themselves.  A world full of people who do not think for themselves, is a world without love.  A person who thinks for themselves, is a person who can love themselves.

Everything that you do.  Everything that you say.  Everything that you think, comes from within.  Are you letting the “outside world” determine your actions, your speech and your thoughts?  Yes, there are common courtesies that we need to extend to others.  That is not what we are saying here.  We are talking about the internal need to conform with the majority because we want to “fit in.”

Conformity is the first step to take away creativity.  Conformity removes our own identities so that we may belong.  Look around today and see what you might be doing simply to “fit in.”  Maybe you root for the hometown sports team when you like an opposing team much better.  Maybe you wear your clothes in such a way to match the style of those around you, when you would rather be wearing something more comfortable.

InspiraCard

There is nothing wrong with conformity if the decision to conform is made consciously from within.  When we conform to satisfy the ego, we are not living our truth.

Playing it Safe

What would happen if you knew that every decision you make is the correct one?  What if you could not fail in anything that you do?  What if you knew in your heart that you will always be okay?

We are here to tell you that you have all of these things.  We are here to tell you that you have in fact, made every decision correctly.  You have not failed at anything, and you will always be okay.  You might argue that is not true, but everything that has happened to you in the past and the future is exactly what you needed to make you the person that you are today.

Struggle creates growth and strength.  Think of someone who always has things provided for them.  Do you think they are as able to make lemonade out of lemons as you might be?  Yes, they too, are right where they need to be in this lifetime.  Everything is always okay, because you are where you need to be in order to grow and experience life.

Life is not about all roses and sunshine.  Sometimes we need the weeds and the rain to allow for new things.  Life is about experience!  The experience will help make you stronger emotionally and physically.  When we reflect on our lives we can learn.  When we experience, we can learn.  It is the person who plays it “safe” that is avoiding the experiences, which they will get anyway!

There is no “playing it safe,”  since safety is an illusion.  The idea that you can control your life is an illusion.  If that is the case, then you might as well live life as an adventure.  We are not proposing you become “reckless” and gamble away your rent money.  No, we are talking about taking the “leaps” that you may have been too afraid to do.  Starting a new career,  getting married, starting a family, making a big move, etcetera.

Today is a great day to watch yourself.  Look for areas where you are “playing it safe,” and ask yourself “why not?”  Why not take the leap into the unknown?  Who knows, that could actually be the “safer route?”

InspiraCard

Life is about experiences.  Sitting at home and doing the same thing over and over again may not be the experience that you are looking for.  Open up to new things and let the universe guide you along this journey!

Believe In Your Greatness

What do you believe about yourself?  That is, what are your thoughts about your own self?   Do you have generally a positive attitude about yourself, or do you have a tendency to look for flaws in yourself?

What we believe about ourselves, sets the stage for our life.  People who believe they can do anything that they put their mind to, are going to live differently than those that have little confidence in themselves.  When we build upon a solid belief in ourselves, we can walk out into the world with confidence.

The question then becomes, “who are you?”   What type of person are you?  We do not care what type of person others think you are, no, we care about what you think about yourself?  For many, this could be difficult to separate the thoughts and models placed upon you by others, with your own thoughts and models.

We must begin with beliefs about ourselves, before we can tackle more general beliefs.  You need to decide who you are, without the influence of others.  Find the person that may be buried deep within and touch it.  Everyone, has their own self.  Many people live as though they are someone else.  The key is to live your own self!

As you go about this day, observe yourself.  Look for areas that might give you a glimpse as to who you really are.  Figure out what beliefs you have about yourself.  Dismiss those that are negative in nature, and find positive beliefs.  When we know that we have what it takes inside of us to be great, we can have the success and greatness that we desire.  It all begins within.  Each of us has our own greatness.

InspiraCard

People who discover their greatness find their truth.  It is the truth within each of us that makes us great.  What you believe about yourself is reflected in the world and to those around you.  Show them by example how they too, can be great!

Security Comes From Doing

When we feel “secure” we have the confidence to step out onto the cliff and  traverse the terrain.  When we have confidence in ourselves and others around us, we are able to proceed without faltering.

So we ask, where does “security” come from?  Do you get your sense of security from a number in your bank book, from the friends that you have, and the relationships that you’ve forged?  Or, rather, do you get security from within?  Do you know that no matter what the universe throws at you, you can deal with it?

When we look within for our sense of security, we look to ourselves.  We can look at our own talents, skills and confidence level to determine that we can handle anything.  Security is something that is best when it is internal, rather than looking to the external.  Looking “outside” for your security will never provide the confidence that you need to pull yourself up and to tackle the most daunting of challenges.

You came into this lifetime to have challenges and to grow.  It’s difficult to grow when we keep looking to others for the answers.  It’s difficult to overcome challenges and to build the confidence that we need, when we rely on others to do it for us.  Listen to your inner-self and find the confidence that you need in yourself, to develop a “knowing” that you can and will do whatever is necessary, whenever you are called upon to do great things!

When we realize that “security” is confidence in ourselves, we can then build that confidence by “stretching” ourselves to do new things.  When we “do” we “learn.”  When we “do” we build confidence.  Maybe today it’s time to start “doing!”

InspiraCard

The most confident person understands that no matter what happens s/he can handle it.  When we realize that security is a concept that comes from within, we take charge of our lives.  Quit letting others tell you when you are secure, and build the skills and experiences necessary so you truly “know” that you will always land on your feet!

This is the Perfect Moment

When you reflect on your life, what do you see?  Are you generally happy with this lifetime, thus far?  What would you do differently?

The reason we asks these questions is because it is never too late to make adjustments – not to the past, but to this moment.  The question we always ask, is how are you going to live today?  Maybe today, you should set an intention as to how you would like it to go.  Maybe today, you should set an intention as to what you would like to do.

Now, take those intentions, and transfer it to this moment.  When you finish reading this writing, what will you do with this moment?  What are your intentions for this moment?  Are you taking steps towards your beacons, or have you forgotten what you beacons are?

When we have a general idea of where we would like to go, we can refine our beacons as we get closer.  The view of the summit gets clearer the further you climb.  What view is getting clearer for you?  Are you climbing a mountain, or wandering aimlessly in the forest?

Many questions are being asked of you today.  It is up to you or not, to reflect on some of your answers.  Remember, everything in your life is perfectly on course for where you need to be at this moment.  Although things may not seem that way, your life is perfect!

Now, given your life is perfect, do you have the emotional state to match?  Are you happy and joyous?  Do you think other people with a “perfect life” are happy and joyous?  What is holding you back?

When we accept that everything in this moment of our lives is exactly where it needs to be, we can let go of the fear, anxiety and worry, and replace those emotions with happiness and joy.  We can quit worrying about the future and look around to see the beauty surrounding us.  We can enjoy this moment, because we know this moment, too is perfect.

InspiraCard

When you realize that THIS is the perfect moment, you can always find happiness and joy to overcome any fears and anxieties.  This is the moment that you are living for, so embrace it and let yourself live!

Discomfort Encourages Growth

When you step out of your comfort zone, you allow for the universe to help guide you.  When you step into the unknown, you are allowing yourself to experience the excitement of life!

When we experience life’s excitement, we might feel uneasy.  That is only normal since we spend so much time trying to keep our life familiar.  It is the familiar that leads to the mundane, and the unknown that leads to excitement.  Excitement energizes, while the mundane de-energizes.

Think of the last time you were excited about something.  Maybe someone was coming to visit, or you were going on a trip.  Maybe there was some other event, such as the purchase of a home or car.  Lots of different things cause excitement for each of us.  Now think of the things that cause tiredness and take the energy from you.  Maybe it’s your job, or doing the same thing over and over again, week after week.

It might be time to step away from what you feel comfortable with, and step into the unknown.  When we step into the unknown we do not know what to expect.  We might feel a little anxious, but we are engaging and experiencing life.  A life that we chose to incorporate into.  A life that we chose so that we could experience new things.

Newness allows for changes to take place that open us up to different things, people and events.  Yes, not everything can be changed.  What we are talking about is the ability to overcome the need to stay “comfortable.”  A little uneasiness in life is what keeps you young and motivated.  A little “discomfort” allows for growth and expansion in your life.

InspiraCard

If our lives were always “comfortable” there would be no need to experience anything different.  However, it is the “discomfort” that encourages us to try new things.  Find a little “discomfort” in your life so that you can continue to grow!

Guiding Your Life

Find something today that brings you joy.  Do something today for yourself.  Maybe it’s taking a warm bubble bath while reading a book.  For some, it might be time outside with their hands in the earth.  What is your “special time?”

When we give ourselves permission to break from the “hustle of the day” we can reset ourselves.  We can give our minds a break and let our body relax.  Without “self breaks” we do not allow ourselves to just “be.”

Think about your day yesterday.  Did you have anytime for yourself?  Did you allow yourself to partake in at least one-quarter of an hour to do something for yourself?  How about the day before?

So many times we are like a hamster running on a wheel.  When we stop running, the wheel stops – and we think the wheel needs to keep spinning for our own survival.  The fact of the matter is the “wheel” is just a wheel.  It spins because you want it to spin.  Yes, there are things that you need to do to keep a shelter, clothing and food.  However, how much of that really has nothing to do with the self-imposed wheel that you insist on spinning?

Slow down.  Let your life unfold the way that you need it to unfold on this journey.  Do not exert all of your energies attempting to paddle your life’s canoe upstream.  Recognize the direction of the current and use that paddle to guide your life – not attempting to control it.

When we realize that our lives may not be controlled, we are able to lower our shoulders and relax.  We can let go of the bag of rocks we are carrying, and be free again.  Letting go, leads to freedom!  Controlling leads to worry, stress, anxiety and fear.  Think about what you are trying to control, and turn your canoe around and start guiding instead.

Today is another great day that lies before you.  We have written about many such days over the past few years.  The question that we ask once again is, “how are you going to live it?”

InspiraCard

When you realize there is no need to control your life, you will change to a means of “guidance.”   Your life’s journey is to be guided rather than controlled.  Find your inner-guide and enjoy the ride!
