Marching Forward

Life moves on.  No matter what we do to try to slow it down, pause it, or to get it to stay the same – it moves on anyways.

When we look back on periods of time in our lives with a fondness to return, we must realize that nothing stays the same.  The rhythm of the drum of life beats on as we march forward.  What was once a nice home with fresh paint and a manicured lawn may become a broken down house with brown dirt and weeds.  Nothing stays the same.

However, the same is true for improvements over time.  The memories that may have not been so fond, can be replaced with current memories of happiness and joy.  The broken down home can be restored or rebuilt to provide beauty and a wonderful home for a budding family.   Life continues onward, but it can be a good thing as well.

When we embrace the changes of life, we understand that we can no longer live in the past.  When we embrace and accept the changes of life, we continue the march forward into the unknown.   The known is comfortable and may be pleasing, but the unknown is the future of all Beings on the planet.  The unknown is the excitement of life for which we were seeking when we entered this lifetime.

When we step into the unknown with our heads held high and our eyes wide open, we can see the excitement and the beauty before us.  The unknown is full of mystery and excitement.  The question is how are you going to move forward in this lifetime?

Your choice is to continue living in the past, or to accept and embrace the present.  This is your time and someday, too, you might look back on this time with a fondness to return.  Take advantage of each moment that you have during this day and let yourself step into the unknown with excitement rather than fear.

When we embrace the moment and accept change into our lives, we are beginning to understand nature.  Change is the only constant in our lives, but we can embrace that change as we move into the future with excitement!

River of Learning

When our formal education years are over, do we keep learning?  Are you continuing to learn or have you gone a bit stagnant?

Life is about growth and finding the opportunity in all events, all of the time.  Part of our growth is learning.  When we continue to learn new things we stay fresh, young and vibrant.  Much like water running down a river, when it stops, it grows stagnant.  Be the river of learning and let yourself continue to expand your growth.

When we learn about new things, we are discovering the hidden treasures buried by many authors, artists and artisans throughout history.  We can find almost an infinite amount of information about virtually any topic on the Internet.  A place where people share their ideas and their knowledge for others to enjoy and learn for themselves.

While we learn, we must also remember to share that knowledge and to contribute to the store of information so that others following us may also learn.  We all have skills and talents that can and should be shared, not for profit or fame, but for the betterment of humankind.  Think about the selfless sharing of videos so many people have put together to demonstrate a technique for a common household task.  Maybe it’s time you begin sharing some of your ideas as well.

You came to this lifetime to grow and to expand your experiences in human form.  Part of that intent is to learn and to grow your mind as well.  Take the opportunity to learn a new skill, or pick up a hobby.  It’s when we do things for the love of doing them, that they become part of our essence.   Yes, we all have to make a living, but there is time to learn new things for yourself.

InspiraCard

When we expand our horizons we will see and meet others expanding their horizons as well.   When enough people find their passions and love for learning various things, we will cover the planet in unity!

What is Your Plan?

So what is your plan?  That is, what is your plan for this day, this week, this year, and this lifetime?  Do you have a plan at least somewhat formulated in your head, or do you go wherever the universe takes you?

There is a fine balance between planning and being spontaneous.  A plan is not set in stone.  No, a plan is an idea of what you are going to set out to do.  Some think of “goals” as their “plan” for what’s ahead.  Others, think of “plans” as their schedule.  That is, the list of appointments and such that have a date and a time.

To us, a “plan” is related to a beacon that you place for yourself.  It can be a short-term beacon as well as life-long beacons.  The plan is the route that you expect to take to get you to where you would like to go.  That route is for the day, the week, the year and your lifetime.  The difference between a “plan” in this sense and a “schedule” is that the plan is more general.

When you create a plan and you devise your next steps, you then need to let go, and see where the universe would like to guide you.  That allows for the spontaneity that can keep life interesting while at the same time giving you guidance while your pursue your beacons.  The schedule is sometimes necessary as well to implement your plan.  However, the “schedule” is not the “plan.”

So, we might ask you to evaluate your beacons and think about your plans for this day.  Look at how your schedule is implementing your plan, or not.  Is your schedule congruent with your plan and your “seven things?”

Yes, the “seven things” we have written about in the past.  Those are the areas of your life that you would like to devote your attention.  These things typically are also related to life-long or short-term beacons.  For example, one of your “seven things” might be “relationships.”  Your plan for the day and your schedule might support a particular relationship.

Everything begins with your beacons, but the “seven things” might help you in creating your beacons.  When you think about the seven areas that are most important in your life, that can give you an idea of your life-long beacons.

Life is so short, that if we do not have a general plan to help guide us through our days, we may let life slip through our fingers.   Make sure you place your energies in the areas of your life that are important to you, and you will find when you reach the end, that you have lived this life to the fullest!

Flow Over Fight

Have you ever noticed how exhausted you are and how emotional drained you are after a heated argument?  Watch your heart rate elevate when you get upset at another driver on the freeway.  What is going on when that happens?

When we fight with others, we are draining ourselves of our energy.  When we find fault in the world, we use energy.  However, when we love, and see the beauty of the world and in each other, we fill our bodies with energetic love and happiness!

When we go with the flow of the universe and the world around us, we are able to adapt and enjoy the energy.  When we fight the current of the river, we expend much unnecessary energy.  Maybe today is the day that you begin to “go with the flow?”

When we are in flow with our environment and the people around us, everything becomes much easier.  We may see the so-called “faults,” but we do not anchor them, rather letting them pass through us without thought.  We let things sail by, like a passing ship.  When you do that, you will find that your life becomes easier.  Your relationships become easier.  The world around you and your environment become more beautiful.  Everything just “is.”

When we let everyone and everything be the way they are, we are accepting of others.  We are accepting and welcoming of new ideas.  We are understanding that we do not have all of the answers, nor do we want to have all of the answers.  We understand that when we work as a team, we can accomplish so much more, without struggle.

When we fight, we struggle.  The fight could be against nature, another person, society at large or virtually anything.  We can always find a reason to validate our fighting.  However, when we let the things that trigger us to fight, pass us by, we are finding our freedom.  Our freedom to decide how we would like to expend our energies.  The freedom to be our own person.  And the freedom to decide to whom and when we will give our energies.

InspiraCard

A wise person knows that fighting will only weaken them, while loving, uniting, and accepting, will allow for a long life of happiness and joy!

Weekly Assessment

We are coming to the end of the work week.  So how did you do?  Did you make it through with progress towards your beacons?  Do you feel like the week was a success?

When we work for a living, we often times simply “get by.”  However, that is not an excuse to “wait until”  something else happens before we start living our lives.  Fill in your own “wait until.”  It could be “I’m waiting until the kids start high school.  I’m waiting until the kids are out of college.  I’m waiting until I get a new job.  I’m waiting until I retire.”  The list goes on and on.

If you made it through this week and you have not made any progress towards your beacons, it may be time to reevaluate, or to set some beacons.  This is the day to evaluate your week and to decide if you were living the life that you care to live.  If not, what could you have done to make it different?  What is holding you back from the happiness and joy that you seek?

When we play back the “game film” of the prior few days, we can objectively assess our life.  We can look at events that may have occurred and review our behaviors.  We can look to see if this is how we care to live our lives for the foreseeable future.  Is this a week that you would like to use as a “model week” for the rest of your life?

Most likely, you would like to make some changes.  However, if we never objectively assess our life, without emotion, we cannot even know that there are changes we would like to make.  If we do not have the information, we might think there is something we would like to change, but we will not know for sure until we assess ourselves.

Now, think about the upcoming week that will start when you roll out of bed on Monday.  Are you going to be excited and passionate about the upcoming week, or are you simply going to go into “survival mode” to just get through it?   Figure out next week now, while you are at the end of the current week.  It’s much easier to dictate how your life will be when you are in a relaxed state, such as on a vacation or the weekend.

InspiraCard

This is the life that you have chosen, for whatever reason.  Find your passions and follow them.  That will give you the excitement and inspiration to enjoy your work as much as your play!

Feeling Uninspired

No matter how hard we try, there are going to be days when we have difficulty finding our inspiration.  Those are the days where you have the most opportunity for growth!

Inspiration can be illusive.  There are days when we are filled with energy and passion for life.  Other days, however, we might be struggling just to get out of bed.  So, how can we find that inspiration when we need it most?

The first thing you must do is realize when you are in a state of being “uninspired.”   Acknowledge that state of emotion and accept it.  It is not a personal failure, but rather an opportunity for growth.  Realize that today is going to be a “growth day.”   When you can come to grips with that reality for this particular day, that is the first step.

Next, you might try to figure out why you are feeling the way you are, but that typically only contributes more to the “uninspired state.”  Rather, we might recommend that you begin to think about how you can use this particular day for good.  Challenge yourself to roll out of bed, stand up, and begin your day.  You can tell yourself, that if I can work today, I can do it any day!  Give yourself little challenges so that you can begin to take the steps necessary to move forward.

During this process, you need to convince yourself that you truly want to find your inspirational energy.  You need to really want to do it, and believe that it is necessary for a joyful, happy life.  You then need to ask yourself if you really want to be happy.  Maybe you are sort-of liking the unhappy, unenergetic state for some reason or another.

While you are in the shower and getting ready for your day, (after you managed to roll out of bed), take note of whether or not you somewhat enjoy that uninspired, unhappy, state of emotion.  If so, you might ask yourself what benefit do you get from it, and what would happen if you were happy?  Maybe you feel you would not get as much attention from a loved one.  If that is the case, convince yourself that unhappiness is not the way to live your life.

Now that you’ve begun to move you might feel some energy coming back into your body.  Acknowledge the change and anchor it, so you can use that picture in your mind to convince yourself to move forward on another day when you might need it.  Take one step at a time, and before you know it, you have left the “uninspired state” behind and you can move forward with inspiration for the remainder of the day!

Yes, it may seem easy, but it really is not as difficult as we sometimes make things.  Life is all about a mindset, and we can change that mindset in an instance.  Think about how difficult it is to change the physical world in order to meet some expectation that we set in our minds.  Isn’t it much easier to simply change our mindset to better match the physical world?

InspiraCard

There are days when we feel a lack of energy and inspiration.  Those are the days that provide the biggest growth opportunities, for we know that when we can find inspiration on those days, we can find it whenever we want it!  Find your inspiration so that you can live a life of energy and vitality while inspiring those around you!

Inner Knowings

When you know something in your heart, and have a strong belief that your “knowing” is true, that is your inner self speaking to you!

Sometimes we feel strong about something that is coming from a place of love and kindness.  When we get these “knowings” we can trust that we are being guided.

Guidance from your inner-self and the universe, comes in many ways – one of which is from an inner feeling that you know something with all of your heart and every fiber of your being.   It might be a “knowing” that you need to go back to school to get a degree in nursing.   It could be a “knowing” that you need to go on a trip, quit or take a job, or virtually anything.  The “knowing” can be small, like when your intuition speaks to you, or rather large when you have resonated with your life’s passion.

When you feel very strong about something, you will have lots of energy associated with it as well.  You will feel inspired to begin creating whatever is associated with your “knowing.”  You will feel the passion that you’ve had possibly only a few other times in your life.  The “knowing” that comes to you is energetic and fun.  It is up to you to act on it and to keep the energy around it.

The key to uncovering an inner-knowing is to trust that it is for you.  Often times when you share your thoughts with others, they may find reasons for which you cannot accomplish the desires associated with the knowing.   In those cases, it is sometimes best to only share your thoughts with people who you know will share your excitement and your energy.  You need to build momentum around it, so that you can see the progress independent of others who may be negative towards it.

Often times, our “knowings” imply growth, which can be fearful for many.  However, when you have the “knowing” there is no fear.   Fear does not enter your mind, because you simply “know.”  Trust your “knowings” so long as they come from a place of love and unity, and move forward.

The best way to uncover your inner “knowings” is to give yourself the time to sit quietly and to rest your mind.  Give yourself a time to reset yourself and to sit in peace.  Let your mind clear so that you might see what’s buried deep within yourself.  Let go of the notion of the day, and find what’s really important.

InspiraCard

When we discover a “knowing” we know with all of our heart the things that we need to do.  Follow your passions with integrity and love and you will always grow in a state of peace and love!

Inspired Forgiveness

When we forgive another, we release the energy that is holding us back.  Forgiveness is not about giving in, but rather about letting go.

Life is way too short to let another have ahold of even a single moment.  When we forgive, we allow the energy that has a hold of us, to be released back to the person we are forgiving.  We are letting go and moving forward.  Forgiveness also allows the other person to move onward as well.

There are times when it is difficult to forgive another whom you feel has harmed you.  When you forgive, you are not saying that it is okay for them to continue their behaviors.   No, you are saying that you are releasing that old energy and moving on with your life.  You are saying that what has happened is over and it’s time to let go of that energy.

Looking to the future can be inspirational or discouraging, depending on your point of view.   Looking to the moment that you now hold in your hand can also be discouraging or encouraging – the choice is yours.  Right now, you have  a choice on how you will spend this moment.  A moment that many other people would gladly trade you places to have.  A moment that no amount of money can purchase.  Now, we ask you, “how are you going to spend it, knowing that someday you may wish to have it back?”

Today is a great day to forgive another to release the energies that are holding you back.   Today is a great day to consciously make decisions on how you will spend your moments.  The moments get “spent” whether you use them or not.

InspiraCard

Forgiveness allows for the release of energy that is wrapped around yourself, while weighting you down.  Let go of that energy and look up to the inspirational energy that is all around you!

Inspirational Mondays

It’s the start of a new week.  This is the start of new opportunities.  How are you going to create opportunities this week?

When we look at the start of a week as an opportunity for creation, we can work on being able to appreciate and utilize the time that we have on this Earth.  It’s too easy and comfortable to just  go through the motions with the work-week, which become the months and the years of our lives.

However, when we are consciously making weekly decisions on our short-term  beacons, we can use that time to make the progress that we would like to make.  We can use “time to our favor” by slowly walking towards our beacons.  We can let the “time fly” knowing that someday we will have accomplished whatever it is we have set out to do because we are making small, incremental progress every day.

Take the time to plot your course for this week and this lifetime.  Even if it’s a small goal that you set for the week, and also broken down to daily goals.  We need to have direction in our lives, or it is too easy to let our lives simply “slip by.”  Do not put yourself in a position where you are not ready to “return home.”

The best way to prepare for the end of this lifetime, is to live each moment.  The best way to have no regrets at the end of this journey is to live each day.  The best way to live each day is to have a plan that you implement.  To have dreams that you are working towards.  To follow your passions and to love each of the days in this lifetime – even Monday!

InspiraCard

When we are inspired, we can create and do anything.  Only you can inspire yourself.  Today is the day to find your passions so that you can uncover the inspiration buried deep within.  When we are inspired, we are living life to its fullest!

Choices

Sometimes we travel great distances, or go to extreme measures in search of something or someone.  The interesting thing, is that if we look around, the things or people for which we search are already here!

Somehow, we have this notion that things in life need to be difficult, that life needs to be a struggle.  Yes, we understand and have talked about the challenges of life, and the necessity of those challenges.   With challenge, and struggle can come growth.  However, struggle is not a prerequisite for growth.  You can grow while in a place of peace, joy, and happiness.

For some, struggle is a necessity for growth.  Today, we are going to talk about  growth with ease.  That means, we awaken ourselves and see the world around us by choice – our choice.  That means, we use our minds to create and attract the reality of choice – our choice.  That means we become the artist of the painting of the world that we view through our eyes.  That means we realize that everything that we do or become is a choice – our choice.

What you choose to do, or become is a choice.  When the choice is made from outside of yourself,  you may have more challenges.  However, when you make choices from within yourself, you are being guided by your spiritual self.  When that happens, you may have challenges, but you will embrace those challenges, because you realize that everything is in perfect order – even the challenges.

Take the time to decide what it is you would like to attract into your life.  Take the time to decide what it is you would like your life to be – at this moment in time.   We cannot make choices, when we do not know where it is we would like to go.   The first step is deciding what it is you want – not what you don’t want!  We put energy to everything for which we think.  The universe does not distinguish between what you want and what you do not want.  Wherever you put your energy towards, is what the universe will provide.

InspiraCard

Today is a great day to figure out what it is you want from this moment, this day, this week, and this year.  When we know what it is we want, the universe will help us get there, so long as we move forward with integrity and love!
