Peacefulness is Rooted in Love

Posted - May• 05•15

Look for the “”positive” in people.  So many times, we talk about the things that we don’t like in others – especially regarding politicians and celebrities.   However, that is negativity at its best.  It is much more loving, and uniting to find something positive in everyone so that you can appreciate and respect them.

Often times, it’s easiest to “dis” on someone when they are not around.  It provides some level of comfort to know, or at least think that you know an attribute that someone else has worse than you.  When we beat people down to make ourselves feel good, that is coming from the ego.  The ego feeds on negativity, and loves to use other people’s so-called “flaws” to boost one’s self.

When we come from a place of love and uniting, we only talk about the good in others.  That is especially true for people whom which we do not care to spend time with.  Even though, we may not have much in “common” we are all human beings.  We all have our joys and our sorrows, and we need to find something that we can respect and appreciate in everyone.

Let go of the tendency to feel “superior” to others.  Have enough confidence in yourself to allow others to “be good at something.”  Let go of the need to be right, by making others look wrong.  Open up to the idea, that you can actually send love to your so-called “enemies.”  Open up to the idea, that you can lead others to sending love to their “enemies” as well.

When we begin to live a life of sending positive energy to everyone that we encounter in our day and our life, we are on our way to living a life of peace and calm.  Peace and calm begin with love, and is overshadowed by hatred and negativity!
