Perspective

Posted - Jul• 29•16

Perspective is a key to living a happy and joyful life.   When we keep things in perspective, we are separating the “small stuff” from the more “important stuff.”  When we have an opportunity to enjoy and live in this moment, we can take advantage of that opportunity by not worrying about the “big stuff.”

The interesting thing about “perspective” is that it is always changing with the moment.  When we understand that being obsessed and connected with outcome is a recipe for angst, we can live the moment.   The perspective of the moment is what can keep us aligned with our truth.  When we understand that things change, and our perspective of this moment changes as well, we can give ourselves permission to “take a break” from the “big stuff.”

It’s okay and encouraged to take a break from the “big stuff” as often as you can.   And, we are here to tell you that you “can” in virtually every moment!  The “big stuff” need not be “big” at all.  The “big stuff” is only “big” in your mental thoughts.  Yes, we understand the health and well-being of a loved one is definitely “big stuff.”  However, you must continue to live this moment.  No matter the so-called size of the “problem” you do not have permission to quit living your life.  Your life, just may have shifted a bit, but you can still have happiness and joy.

Our lives are like the shifting sands of the beach.  We may be changing over time, but we can still enjoy the ocean.  As you grow in this life’s journey in age and wisdom, remember to find the perspective of the bigger picture that spans many lifetimes!
