Pull Back the Curtains

Posted - Jun• 15•15

“Open the curtains to let the light in.”

“Okay, that’s better.  I guess I don’t think about it being dark in here.”

“Open up” and let the light in your life.  Let your friends and family see what’s inside of you.  When you are “closed” to the world, you are not allowing others to see who you are, or to get to know you.  Swing open those curtains, open those windows and let the world’s light energize you to be yourself.

Many times, we have a tendency to “close down” to the world.  We draw the curtains shut, and do not allow anyone to peer inside.  However, that also closes off the energy of the world that is so vital in providing the ambition and enthusiasm that is often needed in our lives.

When we “open up” to our friends and family, we are “putting ourselves out there,” but in a safe way.  No, we are not suggesting that you share every intimate detail about your life with the world on “social media” or the like.  No, we are suggesting that you allow those that are close to you, to “see inside.”  We have talked much in the past about how relationships need to be in balance, and if someone else has their windows and doors open, you cannot keep yours shut!

Think about letting the sun shine into yourself so much so that it touches your inner-core.  Let at least some of the people in your life, see inside so that they can enjoy the “real you!”
