“What are you waiting for?”
“I don’t know. I guess I’m waiting until it feels right.”
“When do you think that will be?”
“I don’t think it will ever feel right.”
“Well then you might as well do it now.”
“I guess there is no time like the present.”

What are you waiting for? Is it time for you to go back to school, find a new job, or paint that picture you’ve been wanting to paint? Time moves at a rate that accelerates as you get older. As such, the more you wait to do the things you’ve been wanting to do, the harder they become.
When you set your beacons, and understand what it is you would like to attract into your lives, it is time to begin the journey towards those beacons. When we “wait” for the right time, we will find that looking back on our lives, the time was “right” now!
Time moves faster as you age, and with it, the “perfect opportunity” to follow your passion becomes more difficult. With age, generally comes responsibility for others. As we become responsible for others it becomes more difficult to follow our passions. However, that does not imply that you should wait until you become “less responsible” since that is unlikely to happen.
Now is the time to pursue those passions. What are those passions, you might ask? Sit quietly with yourself and set the intention that you see your passions. Do this daily for at least ten minutes a day. At some point, you should be able to clear the way for your inner self to “speak to you” about your inner passions. That does not mean that you quit your job and learn to paint so you can sell a priceless masterpiece. However, it might mean that you can begin to take painting lessons and create “masterpieces” to hang in your home!
When we “wait” for the perfect opportunity to do the things we would like to do, we are taking a chance that we will still want to do those things at a later time in our lives. If you can begin to do those things now, we would encourage you to do so. The future is dynamic, the past is a memory, and the now is your opportunity.
So what is it you have been wanting to do, but have been putting off? We are not talking about painting the house, or doing yard work. No, those are chores that you might be putting off. What we are talking about is something that is for yourself or your family. Something that you think might bring you happiness and joy, while done with integrity. We are talking about learning a new skill, finding a hobby, exercising to take care of your body or whatever else you can imagine.

Take the time, to find one thing that you have been “waiting on,” and to begin the process this weekend. Tell yourself that you are “worthy” of this pursuit and let your inner self shine!
