Reboot Your Brain

Posted - Jan• 06•15

Slow your breathing.  Clear your mind.  Listen to the sounds of the world around you.  Let go of the need to think.  Let go of the ego.  Let go…

When we are able to sit quietly with ourselves, we can “reboot the brain.”  We can slow our mind, eventually stopping it.  We can “float away” and let ourselves relax from within.  Too many of us, are constantly letting our mind race away.  We buckle to the pressures of the environment around us.  We get engaged in many activities with many different people – all at the same time!

We cannot stress enough how important it is for you to sit quietly, typically by yourself, for some time alone.   It is important to “unplug” from the electronic gizmos, the events, and the people around you, so that you can go “within.”   Go within, to visit your inner self.  Go within to find the answers for which you seek.  Go within to let go.  Letting go of the ego, the stresses, and the thoughts that create physical issues within your body.

The mind is the command center of your body and your self.  With the mind, it so begins!   When we think unconsciously throughout the day, we think the thoughts carefully placed upon us by the crafty “marketers”.  We think the thoughts placed upon us by our boss, by our mate, by the people we encounter.  We think the thoughts placed in our mind by the politicians, newscasters, and clergymen.  Don’t you think it is time to think for yourself?

Your mind, is the gateway to the person that you have buried deep within yourself.  We are talking about the 90% of your spiritual self that resides in the non-physical plane.  If you would like to access that self, it all begins with a quiet mind.

So, you might ask, “how do I begin?”  One simple answer, is to start today!  You do not need to prepare a special room, with incense, pillows and gongs.  You can begin by lying in bed, if you so desire.  However, we would recommend that you sit up straight, with a good posture that can allow the energy to easily travel throughout your body.  Close your eyes, and visualize a beautiful scene.  Maybe you are in a quiet boat in the middle of a calm lake.  When a thought enters your mind, simply drop a pebble into the water and let the ripples carry it back to shore.

When you get a thought that is beyond the “daily chatter” of your life, you know that you have accessed your inner self.    Feel that energy, and let it pass through you without analysis.   There will be a time for that later.   Let yourself have the permission necessary to be still.  Give yourself that ten minutes each day that could change your life!

When we sit quietly each day and “reboot our brains” we are able to manage the stresses of the environment.  Living without giving ourselves permission to have a few minutes to ourselves each day is almost like trying to breath under water.   Give yourself the gift of stillness, and begin right now.
