Release Panic

Posted - Jun• 27•14

When you feel yourself starting to panic, it may be time for you to stop, take a deep breath and begin to clear your mind.  Sometimes, we may have anxiety for the upcoming day.  Maybe you have a big event at work that you are anxious about.  Sometimes, we may have “panic” regarding our financial situation.  Maybe you are wondering if you will have enough money to make it through the month – or your next “pay check” is uncertain.

Life has lots of opportunities for panic – some of it may be justified, and much of it maybe not so justified.  When we begin to let “panic” set in, we are no longer thinking with intention.  We are letting our mind “run away” with the concern, and worry of the future.  A future that has little to do with  us spending our current moment worrying about it.

When you feel your breath start to shorten, and your mind racing, that may be an indication that you need to “reset.”  Close your eyes, and think about something that energizes and calms you.   Begin to take conscious deep breaths inward, while breathing outward as much of the stale air in your lungs as possible.  Slow your breathing, and relax your mind.  Everything is going to be okay – there is no need to worry.

When we spend our current moments in a state of worry and panic, we are giving up our life for an event that may never occur.  Let the universe guide you through the “gauntlet” and watch how well you can react, and adapt.  Part of the adventure is to see how you react and behave in times of “stress.”  Let go of the “stress” and focus on the task at hand.  Let go of the worry, and plan your next move.  Keep your eyes on the beacons that you have planted, and place your energies on the path towards those beacons.

When life sometimes feels a little stressful, it is time to “let go” and do the opposite.  Sometimes that means taking a vacation to relieve the financial stress, or to take a day off of work to relieve your work stress.  Other times, it may be as easy as resetting your mind and changing the focus of your thoughts.  “Intentional thinking” means you think about things that bring you energy, peace, calm, happiness and joy.  All other thoughts may fall by the wayside.

Open up to the world, and let go of the stresses forced upon you.  Keep your thoughts and energies focused in the direction of your beacons, and you will leave the stresses of the world behind you.
