Release the Tension

Posted - Feb• 14•14

As the muscles contract in your body, you can feel the blood being constricted and the pain begin.  When you can learn how to “open up” those blockages, you will find that your body begins to function as it should – without pain.

Often times, the aches and pains we have in our body, are a manifestation of our thoughts.  When are thoughts are clear and intentional, with positivity and joy, that is transformed throughout the body.  When our thoughts involve negative emotions such as anger, bitterness, resentment, etc., those “stresses” are placed upon your body.

Take an inventory this very moment.  Are you contracting the back of your legs?  Are your shoulders shrugged and tense?  Do you feel like you are “holding yourself up” even though you might be sitting in a chair?  Now, focus on one of those areas, and “release.”  Let your body release the tension.  Let the muscles relax and let the blood flow to that area.

It’s okay to let yourself “open up” with good circulation and no constrictions.  Tell your mind, to relax your body so that you can go about your day without the “pains” that you normally carry around.  Tell your body to “let go” of the lifetime of stresses you have placed on yourself.  It’s okay to leave those stresses behind, and to walk into the future.

Many people carry these stresses, tense their body, and live with much pain, without even knowing that their body is tense.  Sure they feel the pain, but they do not realize that it may be coming from a tensed muscle elsewhere.   Tension and “stress” is easily alleviated through “intentional thinking.”  Yes, we understand it is nearly impossible to “monitor” every thought that goes through your head.  After all, the thoughts are continuous and there can be thousands of them in minutes.

However, one way to “monitor” your thoughts, is to use your “emotional radar.”  Your emotional radar is simply how you currently feel at this moment in time.  Are you feeling happy or sad?  Do you feel relaxed or stressed?  Do you feel anger or joy?  When you feel a negative emotion, it is time to change your thought.  Your thoughts create your emotions.

Yes, you may feel like you are justified in feeling hurt because your mate didn’t get you a valentine’s day present.  However, that is your ego.  What you need to do is to decide if you love your mate, and if you truly know that your mate loves you.  Then, you “let go” of the so-called “wrong” they did to you, and change your thought.  Change your thought to a special moment the two of you have enjoyed, or will enjoy on this day together.

The ego loves to convince you why you need to stay in a “state of negativity” simply because that is the energy that keeps the ego going.  However, when you start to take a “body state inventory” you may realize that you are tensing muscles throughout your body.  When you “let go” of the tension, you may feel an “opening” in your body, but only moments later you may realize the tensed muscles are back.

When you habitually live with certain muscles contracted, it will take time to learn how to relax those muscles.  Do not get discouraged, but find a “trigger” that will help you remember to take a “body state inventory.”  Maybe you are on the phone a lot in your day, and before you place another call, you look to relax those stubborn muscles that are always contracted.  Find a “trigger” that works for you and will remind you to consciously “let go” of the stored tension.  After a period of time, you may find that some of your long-term “pains” have disappeared.

When you love someone, you feel the love you contain inside being reflected back to you.  Show your body that love and you will see the vitality and energy that you may have lost, return back to you.  Let go of the tension and stresses weighting you down and “open up” to the lightness of your life.
