Simple Thinking

Posted - Apr• 23•15

Do you ever notice how sometimes your life seems so complicated, while others may appear to simplify things?  When we simplify our lives, we allow for spontaneity and exploration.  “Over thinking” often times over-complicates things, leading to a tendency of control.

Observe yourself today to get a glimpse of whether or not you might be “over complicating” your life.   When we “over think” things, we can add unnecessary stress on ourselves.  When we “simplify” and let things happen as the universe presents them to us, we free ourselves of the “control stress.”

Typically, stress is rooted in the analysis of things in our lives.  Sure, some “analysis” may be required for many things, and certainly we have talked about the need to set your destinations.   However, when someone continually thinks and schedules every minute detail in their life, they are possibly being consumed with unnecessary complexity.

Introducing complexity in your life is moving in the opposite direction of “trust.”  When we trust in the universe, and that everything is in perfect order, there is usually no need to plan out every little detail.  When you find yourself getting into the “minute planning” of your life, it could be an indication that you are failing to trust that everything is perfect.

Think about a person who knows the outcome and how they will behave at some stage in their life.  Take for example, someone who can see the future and they know that they will meet the mate of their dreams and raise a family together.   Now, imagine the same person who is afraid that they will never meet their mate and how they might behave.  When we know everything is perfect, and our life is “on track” we can let out a sigh of relief and move confidently throughout our day.

Plan your “destinations” by setting your beacons, and reviewing them regularly.  Plan the next step in the direction of your beacons, and then let go of the outcome.  Provide enough room in your day for spontaneity and for the guidance of your inner-spirit.  When you learn to do these things, the “stresses” of life will disappear!
