Spoke Meet Wrench

Posted - Mar• 21•14

Sometimes in life you have no idea where it is you are going, but you charge forward with confidence knowing that you will be “taken care of.”  People who learn this skill and trust in the universe, and their “inner knowing” are able to “break through” the barriers that keep others from acting.

Acting without knowing the outcome is the ultimate confidence and trust in your capabilities, knowledge, and trust in the universe in general.  However, one should understand that “acting without knowledge of outcome” is a constant.  No one ever knows the outcome, although many may think they know.

A person may plan their actions to produce a particular desirable outcome, and often times the planned outcome is the result.  However, as you know, throughout life, things do not always go as planned.  Further, there is never a guarantee that things will go as planned.  A confident person reacts and re-strategizes when things go awry, without losing a beat.

An insecure person, may fret, complain, or even “give up” when things do not go as planned.  Think about how you reacted the last time you went on a trip and there was an unplanned “scheduling change.”  Did you re-strategize, and move forward, or did you complain to the management for making the unscheduled change?

Yes, there may be a time to voice your discontent with an entity when they have disappointed you, but there is also a time to focus on the outcome of getting to your destination.  Sometimes, the informing of your discontent to the organization can wait until a later time.  The key is how do you behave to wrenches thrown in the spoke of your perfectly tuned wheel?

You might ask yourself whether or not you can accept these unplanned changes in your life’s itinerary with the grace and dignity that you would expect of yourself.   When we plan and expect the changes, because we have a knowing that we cannot control anything, we make a shift in our mindset to allow for the adventure of life to enter your being.

By allowing for everything and expecting anything, we are able to roll with the changes that are thrown our way.  We will begin to see the world in a different way.  A way, that allows for exploration to experience new things, learn new skills, and meet new people.  The world becomes one giant adventure.

We understand there are times when you would prefer not to have an adventure.  Yes, that is important as well.  But, we might remind you that when you do find yourself in the middle of and “adventure” you might as well embrace it.   Fighting it will only amplify and prolong it!

When life throws a wrench in the spoke of your perfectly tuned wheel, you can use that as an opportunity to see how you handle the stresses of the world, or you can amplify the event and make it miserable for all parties involved.
