Surrender to Pefection

Posted - May• 16•16

When we learn how to surrender, and we observe ourselves, we can see our egos at play.  We can also watch ourselves, and see how we can open or close our hearts to the world at large.

The ego, will try to convince you to feel hurt, fear, bitterness, or anger, as just a few of its favorite emotions.  That is an indication that your ego is at play. When you observe yourself, it’s okay to feel those emotions, but the challenge is to let those emotions and thoughts causing those emotions to pass through you – quickly.  It’s when you continually play a thought over and over again, that it becomes embedded within your body.  That is a thought that will get “triggered” throughout your life by other, unrelated, but similar events until you can learn to let those “triggers” pass through you.

When we observe ourselves, and we begin to feel ourselves “closing down,” we can let ourselves close, or we can let the “closing down thoughts” pass through us – unobstructed.  The key, once again, is to be watching yourself from behind you, so that you can see when you begin to close down, and act on it – quickly.  When you act, you tell yourself that you are to remain open.  You “make a deal with yourself,” that under no circumstances will you close down.  Then, when you see that beginning to happen you observe your thoughts, the scenario, and your emotions – embrace them, and let them pass through you.

There is nothing complicated about surrendering.  We understand that no creature in a physical body, walking this planet is “perfect,” yet everyone is “perfect.”  You see, perfection, is not in the “eye of the beholder,” but yet present in the beholder itself.  “Perfection,” is not something that you define, it simply “is.”  Perfection is everywhere, even in places that we do not care to look. Perfection is not what we want or desire, but all that is, without us changing it.

When we realize that your dog making a mess on the carpet is perfect, and your mate is perfect when he drops his coat on the floor, you are observing the perfection around you.  Does it meet the model of perfection that you created in your mind?  No!  However, that model is not perfection.  No, that model is your idea of perfection, which can never be matched with the world.  We just attempt to get the world to match our imaginary models of perfection that we have created in our mind.

What would happen, if you decided to throw away your ideas of the way things “should be,” and simply let them “be” the way they are?  Do you think you would cause much less stress and drama in your life?  Do you think you could have perpetual happiness and joy?  Absolutely.

Today is a great day, to simply observe the perfection of everyone and everything around you.  Break down that model you have carefully created for this lifetime in your head, and open your eyes and ears to the “real perfect world” around you.

Perfection is everywhere and in everyone – without change.  The need to change anyone or anything should be a clue that you are trying to make the world match the “perfect model” you have created in your head!
