This story involves a man who was about to make a large purchase. He felt very uneasy about it, and the man, being the logical person that he is, made several lists about why he should or should not go through with this purchase.
Finally, the man decided that it was too risky and opted not to go through with the purchase. As a result, he stayed in his job and kept working for the person and company he worked with for the past twenty years. The purchase, was for a new business. A business of his dreams. A business, exactly like what he was blue printing and trying to attract into his life. This business, was the way he wanted to live the remainder of his working years.
He was going to buy a bakery. He always loved to bake and enjoyed the wonderful smell of bread. He came from a poor family, where his mother baked bread almost every night of his childhood. When he came home from school, he would walk through the door, and smell that wonderful bread. He would look up at his Mother, who is now deceased, and tell her how some day he is going to open a bakery, and bake bread just like her. He would go on to say how there would be cakes and donuts and pastries and most of all, bread. Lots of different kinds of bread.
His mother would always say the same phrase back to him. “Johnny, save your money, work hard, and dream about your bakery. If you do that, then someday you will own the bakery of your dreams.”
Johnny, found the bakery of his dreams, but could not get past the security of a steady paycheck, even though he didn’t care about his job doing accounting for his company. Sure, he liked it well enough, but he longed for the bakery of his dreams.
The location was good, the bakery was successful, the price was even fair. He just feared the unknown and could not put himself up to signing the contract. He was too scared about what might happen.
Years later, Johnny kept looking for another bakery, but knew deep down that the bakery of his dreams had come and gone. After he retired from his job, the company threw a big retirement party and asked him if he had any regrets. He said, “yes, as a matter of fact I do. I never acted on the dream that I had spent a lifetime putting in place. Even if my dream would have been a failure, I could have lived with myself knowing that I tried, and I gave it an honest to goodness chance. The way it stands, I stayed in the safety and security of what I knew, rather than venturing out into the world. For that, I am sorry.”
The man then took his gold watch and went home knowing that he could bake bread in his own oven for he and his family.

You see, the man found exactly the business he was looking for, but when it presented itself to him, he turned it away. He looked at the scarcity of life rather than the abundance and joy of life.
[People often say], “this is the first day of the rest of your life.” However, this is the last day of the rest of your days. For you have lived all the days of your life as though they were the first day of eternity.
You have an eternity to live, so spend your days planning for an eternity while knowing that the universe will provide. For you must know that you are guided through this lifetime with many people on the other side helping you along.
If you stumble and stub a toe, you must know that you are learning the lessons that you need for this lifetime and beyond. Do not fret over a stubbed toe, but enjoy the view of the mountain top where you stand. If you look at the hurting toe, you will miss the view of the land in front of you. The Earth is vast – the Universe is much more massive. You have the aptitude to see it all – or to see none of it beyond your own nose. The choice is yours.

If you want to get to the moon, you must first launch a rocket. Launch a rocket, sit back, and enjoy the ride, while enjoying the view along the way.
