The Connected Forest

Posted - Mar• 06•15

The trees grow high above the ground, appearing to be similar and yet separate.  Underneath what is seldom realized, the roots of all those trees unite.

People in the physical plane are similar to a forest of trees.   We all grow “above the ground” appearing separate from those around us.  However, in the non-physical plane, our “roots” are all one.

When we understand that at some level, we are all one, we can begin to have empathy for others.  We can begin to allow others to be who they want to be “above the ground.”  We can look for our own truth, while letting and allowing others to seek their truth as well.

Rather than pushing our beliefs on others, we open up and allow everyone to pursue their own beliefs.  When we live like a “united forest” we understand that the roots penetrate all geographic boundaries.   We understand that “all” people are connected – not just those in our proximity or blood lines.

Open up to the idea that everyone is important.  Open up to the idea that everyone is allowed to make their own set of mistakes.   Open up to the idea that everyone can enjoy success.  Allow yourself to be one of those people.

When the wind blows the trees of the forest begin to sway in unison.  Underneath the roots are unscathed and strong.   Look around for the “wind of the day” and you will see much of the world swaying.   Let yourself sway in the wind if necessary, knowing that your foundation is solid.

Connect with the “roots” of yourself.  Find a way to quiet your mind in meditation or prayer.  Make that connection with your inner-self, knowing that at the same time you are connecting with the rest of the world!
