The Gratitude Compass

Posted - Sep• 14•16

When things are going well in your life, it is easy to find gratitude.  However, do you still find gratitude during challenging times?   Gratitude is something that we should always look to, especially during challenging times.  It helps us realize what we truly have in our lives, rather than focusing on the lack.  Gratitude keeps us in the present, rather than longing for the past or wishing for a future.

When we keep gratitude in our lives, we stay “grounded.”  That means we are present in the now and understanding and appreciative of the people, things and events that we have around us.  Gratitude is not wishing for anything or anyone, but rather, embracing everything and everyone who is in our lives.

Keeping gratitude in your life on a daily basis will help you guide your ship through the most turbulent of storms.  When we plant our beacons and guide the ship of our lives, we can navigate through the darkness into the light.  Gratitude is the compass of our lives.  Find gratitude this very moment in your life and your worries of an uncertain future or your longing to relive the past can diminish.

When we have difficulty and challenges in our lives, take out your compass of gratitude to guide you through the storm.  There is sunshine in your life, however, it is up to you to find it through gratitude!
