We can continue to go down the path of “finding fault” in others, or we can make a shift in our thinking and find the “path of acceptance.”
When we realize that no one will ever be exactly the way we want them to be – including ourselves, we can quit trying to achieve the unachievable. We can quit trying to achieve something that should probably not be pursued in the first place. We can rather, switch to a state of acceptance.
When we reach a place of acceptance, we quit questioning everything. We quit filling our minds with analysis and criticisms and simply let go. We do not have to agree with the decisions of others, or the way things are, but rather than fight them, we turn to acceptance.
Accepting others, the government, nature, and the like, all begins with the acceptance of ourselves. When we accept the “flaws” (for there are no flaws) in ourselves, we allow ourselves to be human. However, we cannot accept others without first accepting ourselves.
After we forgive ourselves for the things that we may regret, we can begin to allow others to make their own set of “mistakes.” Sometimes, we see our mate, child or friend continually make the same “mistakes” over and over again. While we might interject our opinions, usually our voices fall on “deaf ears.” That is why it is important to allow others to “fall” without providing unsolicited feedback.
Think of a young toddler learning how to walk. The toddler continually tumbles over and falls. Do we scold them and tell them not to fall? No, we encourage them to get back up and try again. Now, think about those in your life that are continually “falling.” Yes, constant encouragement can be challenging, but at the minimum let go and allow them to fall without your criticisms.

When we allow others to proceed on their life’s path without judgment and criticism, someday we may realize that everything truly is in perfect order!
