Thought Roots

“How are you able to sleep with all of the things going on in your life?”

“Sometimes I wake up and start thinking about things I need to do and other things that cause me worry, but then I quickly clear my mind and let those things go.”

Worry is a state of mind.  When we “worry” about something that we are afraid will happen at some point in the future, we are letting our mind get away from us.  We are letting the fear of the unknown consume this very moment.  When we worry, we are giving up this moment in our lives in exchange for fear over something that probably will never happen.

Let go of the stresses in your life.  Yes, it’s possible.  We can only have “stress” with our permission.  Stress is a state of mind.  We allow it to consume us, because we believe that these external factors are okay to enter our bodies.  Stress and worry, are external things that enter your internal body by way of your thoughts.  You cannot be stressed or have worry without thinking about it.

When we realize that we have control over our thoughts, we might then see that we have control over how we react to various situations.  We have control over our actions that are rooted in our thoughts.  We have control over our behaviors that are rooted in our thoughts.  We have control over our lives, whose reality is created through our thoughts.

When you feel your body beginning to tense, and your mind beginning to “go off the tracks,”  it is time to “reset yourself.”  You might need to find a quiet place where you can sit or lie down with your eyes closed.  Take several deep breaths in, with a slow release out.  Think about what is really important in your life, and tell the ego to “get lost.”  Lower your blood pressure and your heart rate.  Tell yourself everything is in perfect harmony.   Let the stresses and worry melt away.  Energize yourself, and bring in the state of peace and calm that is buried deep within.

This lifetime is a challenge, but this lifetime is exactly the way you need it to be.  Learn from it.  Grow from it.  Love it!
