Have you ever thought about how sometimes your life gets put up “on stage?” That is, you become an actor or actress in your life. You begin to “pretend” you have talents, skills, or are someone else, other than your truth. For some people who live nearly their entire life on this pretend stage, they one day may realize that everything the did up to that point is all “pretend.”
Once again, we are not saying that is bad nor is it good – but rather, it is part of the experience of placing your spiritual being within a physical body for a lifetime. The physical body is already placing a sort of “costume” on yourself. The interesting thing is that “costume” can sometimes influence people’s interpretation about who you really are.
Let’s look at something that may put this into perspective. Suppose you take a non-physical concept such as “time” and place it inside of a box. Does the “time” spill out, or is it contained within the box? Does the color, size or shape of the box, influence the concept of time? Can you actually entirely place a non-physical concept inside of a box in the first place?
Now think of your “spirit.” Can you place your entire spirit within the “box” of your body? Does the size, shape, and age of your body change your spirit? Are you your body, or your spirit?
These are questions that you may want to ask yourself, for we will argue that when you leave this particular physical body for which you are inhabiting during this lifetime, that you will remain completely “in tact.”
So now, let’s go back to the “stage of life” for which you are performing. You’ve entered this lifetime within the costume of this body, and are placed on a stage for which you will perform. When famous actors or actresses place a costume over themselves are you still able to identify them? Possibly – not, because they are such great performers they can adapt to whatever role or costume that is disguising themselves.
Now, we ask. If you were placed in a different costume would people be able to recognize you? Would your mate, children, family and friends be able to identify you if you were in a different body? Are you who you are, or are you so attached to the identity of this body that you cannot see beyond said body?
Are you always “acting” and adapting and adjusting your costume so that it does not age or look tired? Do you continually try to keep things the way they once were in your younger years, or do you accept the grey and the wrinkles? Maybe it’s time to start letting people see behind your “costume” and get to see the real person of who you are.
Yes, we understand that being in the physical world requires a form of acting different roles. You awake, and you may be playing the role of the spouse or parent. You arrive at work, and you may be playing the role of the boss, employee, or staff member. You arrive at the gym and you may be playing the role of teammate. The list goes on.
We understand that is the way the world is built and shaped. We understand that sometimes you need to “conform” and accept the way things are. We understand that there is absolutely nothing wrong with playing these different “roles of life.” The question, is – do YOU understand that you are beyond the roles? Do you understand that you are acting? Do you understand that you are so much more than what is visible with one’s eyes?
We are here to tell you, that you emphatically, are much more than what you can see in the mirror. We are here to tell you that you can play any “role” that you would like to play, so long as it matches your inner truth and is for the higher good of all.
Wake up that piece of who you are looking out from behind the costume. Let people “see” you without having to “see” your physical self. Introduce yourself to the world as the person playing all of those “roles.”
InspiraCard
Life is like a big play where you put yourself up on stage to act many different roles during your lifetime. Sometimes people wait until the end of the “play” before introducing themselves to the audience, while yet others never introduce themselves. Maybe you should introduce yourself now, so that you can quit acting and be who you really are.
