“I really hope I get the job.”
“Yes, I do, too.”
“What if you don’t get it?”
“Well, then I guess I have something better coming along.”
“That’s a good way to look at things.”
“That’s how I try to live my life.”

When we get so wrapped up on the outcome of our life, we sometimes think that when we do not get what we want, that we are a failure. We fail to remember that we do not always know what’s best for ourselves. That is why it is important to do the things that you think you need to do, and then to “let go” and let the universe be your guide.
When the outcome is not what we would like, we need to understand that it is “guidance.” We are being guided down the river of life. Sometimes, we would like to take the fork to the “right,” but the universal current pushes us “left.” We can paddle upstream, and try to get back to the other fork in the river, or we can sit back and enjoy the view on this fork of the river – the choice is yours.
It is the wise person that understands that she does not know what is “best” for anyone – including herself. It is a foolish person to think that he has all of the answers for everyone – including himself. Sure there are times when we will have disappointment in our lives, but we need to trust that everything is going to be “okay.”
When we trust in the capabilities of ourselves, and we trust in the universal guidance that is gently showing us the path to our beacons, we can “let go” of outcome. Think of how freeing it is to make a decision on how you would like things to go in your life, do the work that you feel is necessary, and then let go of the result – knowing that whatever happens is what is best for you at this point in your life.
When we trust that everything at this moment in our life, is absolutely right where things should be, we can let go of the stresses and pressures that so many others carry with them. We know that whatever happens is for our higher good, so we can accept and embrace any result. We can give ourselves permission to embrace any and all outcomes – even ones that didn’t go the way we thought was for our higher good.

Trust in the universe. Trust in yourself. Trust that the “outcomes” are for your higher good, and the perfect outcome that you need in this moment of your life. When you can do that, you will find that the “stresses” of the world are lifted off of your shoulders
