When you are following your passion, you need not understand the rationale behind all of your actions. (Of course, we are assuming you are behaving genuinely, with integrity). When you pursue and live your passion, you may not always understand the reasoning behind the things that you are “pulled” to do.
For example, suppose you have a passion to paint, and you find yourself drawn to doing things differently than the norm. You may wonder, why you are pulled to find things in the garbage to spread onto your canvas, but if you trust that “inner knowing” you will allow your passions to flow through you onto the canvas.
For others, you may have an internal passion to own a business. You might find yourself being pulled into an industry for which you may not know anything. If you trust that “pulling” and research the industry and immerse yourself in it, you may find that it may provide an idea for a product or a business.
Many times, we do not really know why we are doing something, but we know inside that it is coming from our “inner spiritual self” and that we must trust it. After many months and possibly years, of studying that industry, you may begin to doubt yourself. However, at some point in your life you may understand why you felt the need to do whatever it is you were “pulled” to do.
The key is to listen to that inner self, and trust that it is taking you in the direction that you need to go – at this point in your life. Over time, the passion that was lit brightly, may begin to dwindle since things may not be happening as quickly as you would like. However, you need to understand that much like a flower that pierces the ground, you will “grow” at the rate that you need, to be a strong, beautiful “flower.” Sure, adding water and nutrients to the soil around the seed will help it grow, but the flower will decide when it is ready to pierce the ground.

Your inner self, serves as the water and the nutrients to help that “seed” buried deep inside of you, pierce the “soil” into the world at large. Trust that your “seed” will someday sprout and do the things necessary to help it pierce the ground!
