Once in a while in life, we take an unplanned fall. Not like any “fall” is ever planned. However, some “falls” are much more unexpected than others. The fall can literally be a fall to the ground where our body is thrust down onto the ground, or the “fall” can be an unexpected change in life.
Nonetheless, when we “fall” we have a few choices to make. In some cases, we can stand back up, brush ourselves off and continue on our journey, or in other cases, the fall may be more serious. A serious fall can take us off our course with a potential injury that may prevent us from standing back up and continuing on our path.
In these cases, it is important to take the time to heal ourselves. During that time, we might look for “messages” the universe may be trying to send us. For example, if we are aging, and are having difficulty walking up and down stairs, or find uneven walkways difficult, the universe may be telling us it might be time to use a cane.
If the “fall” is a figurative fall in that we get laid off from our job, we might look for areas of interest to us in the next job. What doors appear to be open, or where does your passion seem to take you? When we have a change in our life that is taking us into an unplanned area, we can look for new opportunity to excel.
Life is about change, and sometimes those changes are subtle, with “stumbles” and sometimes non so subtle with “falls.” Its how we adapt and change when these unexpected events occur is what defines us. While you are healing, take a look inward to attempt to understand any messages or meaning behind the “fall.” Be honest with yourself, for you do not need to explain anything to anyone else.
When we take the time to analyze the unexpected event, we can work to make any necessary changes to possibly prevent future falls of the same nature. However, if we fail to make those changes, the chances of similar future “falls” is much greater.
Take the time to analyze the data, objectively, without emotion. If the “fall” is fairly fresh, it might make better sense to give it a little time. However, if you give it too much time, you may see less of a need to look for the universal messages that may be speaking to you.

Life is about successful “landings,” as well as “falls.” The question is whether or not you listen to the “falls” as much as you listen to the “landings” for messages being sent your way.
