“We are not our bodies.”
“What does that mean?”
“It means our spirit or non-physical self is who we are. That “person” if you will is temporarily housed in a physical body. However, much like the outside of a house has little to do with its occupants, a body has little to do with that person.”
“I never thought of it like that before. ”
Ω
We have a tendency to associate a person with the body that encompasses them. We look at the body and begin to make judgments about their height, weight, skin, age, etc. However, we are not those things. The person that you really want to see is the person that is “unseen.” However, when you see someone from a distance, it is difficult to see that non-physical person.
We are not who we think we are. We are so much more. When you find yourself looking at someone and thinking you “know them” just based on their physical appearance, you need to understand that is not that person. As we age and our physical form changes, we do not change with it! Similar to a house that is no longer shiny and new, the people living in that house are unchanged. Life is not about what we look like on the outside, but rather who we are on the inside!
InspiraCard
When you find yourself trying to hang onto the body and mind that we once had, remember that the non-physical person lives forever! We have lived in other bodies, much like we live in many houses, and someday when we vacate this body we may choose to return in another physical lifetime!
