Your Life-Glass

Posted - Jan• 21•15

Time is a concept that affects us all, but few understand.  We find ourselves, thinking about time in terms of having “more” of it, or sometimes “less.”  “Where does the time go?”  “How long is this going to take?”  Are common questions related to time.

What we would like to talk about is the “moments” within the hourglass of your life.  Think of how each of us has an imaginary “hourglass” of time we have in our physical bodies.   Each grain of sand that slips through to the lower glass is a life moment.  Some of those grains are larger and take longer to move through the “life glass” and others are smaller which move quicker.   However, each grain of sand is a “life’s moment.”

Think of what remains of this day, as one such moment.  The question is, what do you intend to do with that moment?  Do you wish to spend that moment in a state of anger, frustration, bitterness, or other negative emotion?  Or, maybe you have decided that no matter what my mate says, no matter what I hear on the “news,”  no matter what others do, “I will be in  a state of happiness and joy.”

The interesting thing about the “life glass,” is that we cannot see the glass, and we do not know how many grains of “sand” we have left.   For some reason, the tendency is to think that the glass is full of sand, and we always will have some future “moment” to find that state of happiness.  However, most people who find themselves on their last moment find out that they could have done more with the moments they let slip through the glass unnoticed.

Take notice of each “life’s moment” and spend that moment like it’s a most valued possession.  In the end, the moments will vanish in this lifetime but this moment is still available for your happiness!
