Your Life is Waiting

Posted - Dec• 26•13

The world is full of families living in a household, as well as individuals living by themselves or with other “single” roommates.   The choice to marry or to commit to a partner for this lifetime is made every day.  For some, that choice of lifelong partner did not work out and they find themselves alone again.  For others, the choice may have “worked out” as far as the relationship goes, but their partner may have passed over and they are now living alone.

The situation that you are in is exactly where you need to be at this point in this lifetime!   Always know that you are exactly where you need to be in your life at this point in time – even when it appears to not be at a place you think you “should” be.

Living with or without other people in your home is a challenge.  There are benefits and things that are not so good in both cases.  If you would like your situation to be different, set a beacon and move towards it one step each day.  For instance, if you would like to be with a partner rather than living alone, set a beacon and take a step in that direction starting today.  The first step may be as easy as picking up a newspaper that lists the social events for the week, where you think you might be able to meet that someone special.

Life is full of challenges.  For some, they know nothing more than living a life without a “life-long” partner, for others, they know nothing more than many decades of marriage.  For others, they may have experienced marriage and now find themselves living alone and raising the children by themselves.  All of these situations have benefits and have reasons for you to express gratitude.  Find those reasons and embrace them, especially when you find yourself longing for something else.

The holidays can often be difficult for those without a partner and without family when they see neighbors welcoming large families into their home.   Remember you can change anything in your life that does not resonate with you.   Being alone, is not synonymous with being “lonely.”   You can do something about loneliness by extending your friendship network and getting out of your comfort zone to make changes in your life.   Life is full of adventure and excitement which can easily be rekindled in a positive way.  We are not talking about unnecessary adventures and risk that can cause harm, but rather the excitements of life that often occur when meeting someone new whom you enjoy.

Marriage can seem after a while like a long journey with little excitement.  Find ways to keep things exciting with your partner.  Maybe a simple surprise where you treat them to dinner at their favorite restaurant, or simply doing something just for them.   Remember why you chose this mate, and look to your gratitude list for reasons why you are happy to still be together in this lifetime.

No matter what your living situation is, you need to know that things are not always better, nor are they worse in any of the circumstances we described.  Life just “is.”  The more you can accept and embrace your life the more you will discover that you will free yourself of all of the “weights” you’ve placed on  yourself keeping you on the ground.   When you accept your life and free those weights you will begin to fly and your life will flourish in ways unimaginable.

We are not saying that you should not set beacons and set your intentions for your life, but rather we are saying that when you focus more on where you want to be and less on where you have been or where you currently are, you will free yourself of the things holding you back.

Your life is waiting for you to “catch up” to your potential.  Let go of the past and the negative emotions holding you back, and run along to live the life of your dreams.
